Do you think they'll play this up on tv next week that a small soldier "broke" the masterlock? Or even a face turn for JBL? I think that would be pretty cool, both scenarios.

I think Masters will dispute it next week, the Masterlock will still be unbreakable, and the name Jose Avila will never be mentioned again.
Just my hunch.

It was probably just to entertain the troops.
They'll ignore the fact it ever happened when RAW resumes normal service.

Hasn't Kane also broken it at least five times by now?

Masters will make sure it goes down as unofficial next week, getting him more heel heat and stuff, they just did that to have a big feel good moment...

I think it was Booker who broke it in the WM 21 Battle Royal.
Of course, we aren't supposed to know that.

They'll make some quick mention of how the soldier broke the masterlock and highlight JBL's interference. In order to keep the "feel good moment" alive for the troops, they won't invalidate the incident on television. Instead, they'll make an announcement on wwe.com stating that "Nobody has broken the masterlock without outside interference". Over the next few weeks, this will morph into simply "Nobody has broken the masterlock", and we'll quietly end up right back where we started.

Sounds accurate to me, I think the Masterlock is his whole gimmick, if it's broken he's pretty much finished.

Booker was the first to break it at WM21, yes. Technically, you could probably say that Cena, Matt Hardy, Shawn Michaels, and a few others have broken it too...

Yeah but unless they're psychically telling Masters to let the hell go, they're not making him release the hold out of his cockiness. EDIT: Also, I forget Matt Hardy breaking it (as was mentioned earlier), can anybody point when this occured/semi-occured?

I've posted this before but BOOKER T DID NOT BREAK THE MASTERLOCK IN THAT BATTLE ROYAL! It was never fully administered, hands never touched, booker just sensed it was coming and prevented it. Kane NEVER broke it, HBK broke the hands free but Masters threw him down, Matt Hardy just sucks, Cena never broke it either. Get it right!
