I heard that he was very close several times to joining and was even a couple phone calls away from appearing at WM19. I still think he could go to WWE in the future. Never say never with Vinnie Mac. For all the crap he's done lately, he's very forgiving when it comes to past differences over leaving WWE. Ask Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy (sort of), Kendrick, Eddie, Warrior, Hogan, Piper, Hall, Nash and about 50-60 others who've came back and actually made a run of things in WWE and not buried.

Don't be blessing Vince for all these rehires. The big ones (Hogan, Nash, Hall) - sure. But the younger/midcarder guys are probably back thanks to people like Johnny Ace and JR. I remember reading a story about Vince going to a big meeting with the talent in mid-2000, seeing Raven and saying "WTF? Who rehired him?!" Funny thing: Raven had been back for a few weeks at that point. Vince is quite oblivious to many things.

If Sting shows up in the WWE, it'll probably be under a Legends contract.

Sting would make a better Rocky Balboa character than Hogan or Flair.

Sting's absolutely right. I'm glad he's able to enjoy the last few years of a legendary career in TNA.

Do you really think Vince isn't going to know who is on his payroll? Also Johnny Ace like big guys and bikini Models, and J.R. isnt dealing with talent anymore.

If I remember that correctly Raven himself told that in one of his shoot videos. He probably knew Raven was on the payroll but just wanted to embarass him in front of everyone because Vince...yeah he doesn't like the Scott Levy for introducing his son to the ganja.

Vince probably would've let Sting keep his name, but repackaged him as a gayer version of the Killer Bees gimmick.

vince knows what he is doing and he wasn't going to pay sting what his contract had in it, and also give him veto clause that he had to give hogan and warrior and what not.
it wouldn't happen

you have to watch the whole interview, it's pretty good.
In another part he said he was willining to take a pay cut because he still wanted to wrestle, BUT he was glad Vince didn't buyout his contract because of his marital status; which was very shaky since August 98 (the main reason he would disappear and reappear so frequently till the end).
