I believe Michael Cole was a playable character in Smackdown 2. Hmmm. he was great. i made a paedophile caw with all the "crotch to face" type moves, and then got him to rape cole into submission. for the world title, no less. In Smackdown SYM I made a CAW called Mr. Slave. He had the tallest and fattest body possible, all the body hair you could have, leather face mask and underwear. Finishers were the stinkface and the Goldust butt thump. Nobody like playing against him with their CAWs. I had also made a dominatrix for him, but she did not turn out as well.

Has anyone mentioned Planet Stasiak in Here Comes The Pain? I thought that was pretty obscure. He was in Shut Your Mouth, but sure was obscure.

Ok, has anyone played the game WCW vs the World or something really stupid like that? I'm pretty sure all it had was 10 guys from WCW and 40 guys from Japan who I think they made up most of them. It was the king of obscure wrestlers in games. Like Sherlock Holms the wrestler. WTF

Bret Hart, British Bulldog, and Ahmed Johnson in WWF Warzone- which came out in August 1998, at least 10 months after those three were on WWF TV, with Bret and Bulldog prominent on WCW Television.
Spike Dudley, Mark Jindrak on WWF Smackdown vs. Raw 2006- same reasons.
I actually miss them letting Announcers being playable characters- they were fun beat up dummies or to humiliate your friends. Remember beating someones Ken Shamrock with Linda McMahon in No Mercy.

Fred Durst in SmackDown: Just Bring It seemed pretty pointless. You win.

But I'm never putting that back in my machine, so I can't check. It really sticks in your craw when you spend good money on a terrrible game, and they spend time making Fred Durst. Time that could be better spent destroying every copy of the game.

I bet Durst was in those games as part of his license agreement so that "Rollin'" could be in the game. I could be wrong, but that's what it seems like to me. Durst ain't the brightest guy in the bunch.

Oh here's one. Not an obscure character, but an obscure gimmick. I think it was SYM, Shawn Michaels was in the game wearing an NWO shirt and a cowboy hat. He was in the NWo for like 2 weeks, and that just so happened to be when they were doing the character models for the game. Oops.

I have one that I think may have jsut been some sort of hallucination. I was playing HCtP like 2 hours before I picked up SvR05, and I was in a story mode tag team match, playing as RVD, and I got beat by Booker T and... Michael Cole. Who was not playable in that game, who I had never seen despite doing that same storyline like 6 times, who had all japanese and lucha moves. Who's name was listed as Booker T. I lost the titles to Booker and Cole, cuz Cole DESTROYED me. Then I won them back off of... Cole and Cole. It was really, really weird.
Also, HBK was in the nWo for a while when he was put in HCtp(?).

Same thing with his horrible brown pants he wore in JBI (I think). He had those in HCTP. HBK wasn't in JBI at all.

No Mercy Stevie Richrds was playable.
But the strange thing is that in almost EVERY SINGLE STORYLINE from the World Title, he was a serious contender, handpicked by Vince Macmahon himself.
This my friends, is what makes the WWE No Mercy be the best game overall.
