Or has it been inducted yet? I mean if history in WWE has taught us anything, its that Fitness Guru gimmicks don't Work. There was Skip and Sunny(Though it'd brought us Sunny..back before the donuts and pizza came into play.) Stephanie McMahon's personal trainer Muffy, and now Simon Dean. I mean, Nova is a good wrestler and has made so many creative moves that the Superstars of today has used. The problem was was that he was reduced to nothing more than a jobber for guys like Hurricane, Batista, Booker T and others. He was then a manager for a tag team called Gymini..but that went nowhere. Eventually he was released for appearing on the list of people who bought illegal pills.
So..what do you think, Simon Dean is Wrestlecrap? Or a good heel gimmick?

In regards to the gimmick Joey Styles said it best on ECW One Night Stand 2005 "That's more painful than having to be Simon Dean on tv." Vince McMahon should have let Nova be Nova.

For better or worse, I always think of this when someone says Simon Dean:

Simon Dean was referenced in the Bodydonnas induction. I can't imagine that Simon isn't crap and the Bodydonnas aren't.

It's crap. It doesn't matter if a few people thought it was funny. Crap is crap.

I thought Simon Dean was awesome... having said that yeah I think it should be inducted.
But they still should have had Hollywood Nova vs. Simon Dean when the BWO was around for like a week :-p

I loved the guy, great gimmick, but crap. He even had that phone number to call during his promo videos.
Your turn!
But to be honest one of dream matches is Simon Dean vs. Samoa Joe

I dont think Simon Dean was wrestlecrap.
If anyone is interested Mike Bucci(Nova,Simon Dean) had a excelecnt interview on last weeks instalment of tha o show. It is avilable from Angrymarks.com(a proud supporter of wrestlecrap radio)or directly from tha o shows website(thaoshow.com).

If IRS is Wrestlecrap then so is Simon Dean.

Funny people should decry it as a waste of Bucci's talent, got a story to share
At 1PW's otherwise dire ECW tribute show (running a tribute show where you announce a no-DQ stip at the start of the night, and then feature not a single thing that would earn a DQ! Smart Booking!), I hung out with Bucci during the interval (he had complimented me on going to the event dressed as straw hat guy, and the conversation kicked off from there. At some point during a chat about the biz, I make a Simon Dean crack at his expense, and he holds up the action figure he's selling "Hey! I love this guy! I got to be Nova and do awesome wrestling in ECW, and that was fun. And then I got to be on TV every week, and be ridiculous, over the top, and make lots of money! I never would have got to do that as Nova."
So Bucci doesn't seem to think it was a wate of him.

I thought it was great and introducing the character with fake Simon System commercials in the MIDDLE OF COMMERCIAL BREAKS was one of the most clever ideas in recent memory. How can you not like a fitness guru who rides a segue to the ring?
And the Bodydonnas weren't crap or inducted, their drag post-Sunny manager Kloudi was.

If IRS is Wrestlecrap then so is Simon Dean. That induction, as Gorilla would say was a "Miscarraige of justice". Simon Dean was hilarious. Better than Chris "Skip" Candido.

Granted, this is making a lot of money compared to his last gig, working ECW during their last days...

Sure, he was another failed fitness expert gimmick guy, he worked with Maven and was responsible for Blades "Gymeni" tag team that he talks about-the action figures that no one bought.
I thought he was entertaining and his segment with Steve Austin after WM21 was great and that phone number he had that if you in fact called it had a recording of his voice telling you your fat is great, but ultimately he was another failed gimmick character.
