Talk about your existential moments.
But seriously, how would such an angle play out in the early to mid nineties? Maybe the IRS fires IRS for hanging out with a tax-cheat like Ted DiBiase. What happens then? Does he go back to being Mike Rotundo/a? Does he become more like his Michael Wall Street character? Or how about "Hobo" IRS?
What say you, crappers?

Wait, was he actually employed by the IRS or was he just an accountant with a lofty opinion of himself?

Wait, was he actually employed by the IRS or was he just an accountant with a lofty opinion of himself? He could've, indeed, been the living personification of the IRS. He'd probably become a boat captain or a collegiate wrestler. Again.

All I know, is if the Internal Revenue Service fired Irwin R. Schyster. Then he'd look silly wrestling in his work clothes!

I bet they would have done a storyline where IRS filed a grievance with the union, and his lawyer would be a debuting heel that would end up taking Ted Dibiase's place in Money Inc. after his back injury.

Speaking of names, was IRS supposed to be Mike Rotundo joining the IRS and legally changing his name or was he some guy who looked like Rotundo whose parents were idiotic to name him Irwin R. Schyster?

He'll become a lobbyist for the tearaway suits industry.

That would've been funny had he lost his job then Dibiase stops backing him finaically and turns on him as a partner, then he goes bankrupt, then they film vignetts of the Repo Man going to his house and taking everything, but the only thing that isn't outstanding is a boat somebody named Ted Turner brought for him to film things on, thus becoming Captian Mike again and then teams with an abandon Typhoon who goes back to being Tugboat and we got WWE's newest face tag team a verison of Gilligan and The Skipper

He was employed by the IRS. Otherwise, he wouldn't always be threatening to audit people.
I'm actually really intrigued by the "Hobo IRS" idea. Perhaps this could make for a future "Rewriting the Book."

I think he was actually working for Interpol and that's how the goverment was building it's case against McMahon in 1993. He had compiled all the info on the rampant drug use and shady deals and it was all in the briefcase.
Assuming he was fired by the IRS I think they would of turned him into a depressed whino. Torn khaki's a unknown yellow stained shirt, a loose tie and he shuffled to the ring with a bottle in a paper bag and he would be scratching off lotto tickets and throwing the losing stubs at the crowd.

I would've marked for a face "Hobo" IRS. It would've been ironic if someone who ruined lives for the IRS had HIS life ruined by the IRS. And it could've built to a face turn where he fights against Ted DiBiase (the matches would've been good). Maybe have him regain his life by winning the Million-Dollar Belt, pawn it, and gain his fortunes back.
