WOW! I should come here to find out about my NCAA, forget ESPN! I'm from Canada and I've only been following NCAA Football since 2006. It still feels pretty new to me. Canadian university sports is nothing AT ALL like it is in America. I've learned alot just reading here. I got a few questions. 1) I understand you need 6 wins to be eligible to go to a bowl game but does that mean you'll be in a bowl game for sure? The reason I ask is that over the Summer I visited Iowa State University, I had a great time, and I badly hope the Cyclones go to a bowl game. Cross my fingers and hope to die! 2) I noticed that Kansas State in the Big 12 have 6 wins and yet they are not eligible. Is there a reason for that? 3) I'm very seriously thinking of travelling to the U.S. next year to see a live NCAA football game. I've wanted to do this for a couple of years now. Alot of games I see on TV look as if every seat in the staduim is filled. Are there any 1st Division teams that I can get tickets to easily, perhaps right at the stadium on the day of the game. Sure, I could buy tickets off the internet but I don't own a credit card (and have NO WILL to own one either). I don't care what teams I see but the cheerleaders and bands have to be there or I'm not going. I'm going for the experience if you can catch what I mean. Anyone want to come with me? I'm really enjoying this season. Hope you are too. Oh BTW.... Jim Ross must be having the worst time of things this year. Though I haven't been watching for long I've never seen Oklahoma U have this bad of a season. Hang in there JR I miss you on WWE. 1. Yes, Iowa State will almost surely be in a Bowl Game. Most places have them projected to the Independence Bowl in Shereveport. 2. K-State has 2 wins over teams from the lower Championship Subdivision. You are only allowed to count one of those games towards your bowl eligibility so as a result they are not eligible. 3. You can usually buy tickets on the street before the game just about anywhere, and depending on the opponent you might be able to get inside for less than face value. I've gotten in to some Iowa games for 10-15 bucks.

Curiously, the Arkansas/LSU game is on Saturday night when for the past half dozen or more years it's always been the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Just doesn't seem right.

BCS Standings... 1 Florida .9664 2 Alabama .9614 3 Texas .9263 4 TCU .8699 5 Cincinnati .8591 6 Boise State .7834 7 Georgia Tech .7756 8 Oregon .6724 9 Pittsburgh .6638 10 Ohio State .6523 11 Iowa .5245 12 Oklahoma State .5134 13 Penn State .4992 14 Virginia Tech .4748 15 LSU .3650 16 Oregon State .3140 17 Miami (FL) .2777 18 Clemson .2631 19 Brigham Young .2623 20 USC .2589 21 Utah .2353 22 California .2033 23 Houston .1461 24 North Carolina .1443 25 Mississippi .0840 Wouldn't it be awesome if Florida, Alabama, and Texas all lost in different games by the end of the season? Maybe Florida this week, Alabama in the SEC title game, and Texas whatever. Then the national title game: Cincinnati vs TCU. The network marketing division would suicide jump in mass.

If that happened, Florida would still go. They'd take a one loss SEC team over one of those two, by nature of them being in the SEC, by nature of them being Florida, and the fact that they have too much of a head start.

Police and university officials are still investigating a fight that happened in a Michigan State dormitory around 9:30pm on Sunday. Witnesses say 15 to 20 men, including several football players, stormed Rather Hall and initiated the melee.
Word on the street is some football players may have already been dismissed following the incident.

Do they not know how damn pampered those mascots are no matter what school? I know people who have gone to A&M and said that if Revile comes in a class and barks, the class it automatically over. If She sleeps in a Cadet's bed, he has to sleep on the ground.

The owner of the UGA dogs is probably one of the best owners for those animals. That dog house the dog has is personally built to make sure he stays warm or cool. UGA is extremely pampered by the guy who owns him and the school. So a freakin robot would just defeat the purpose of that dog house and would cause several people to lose money.
I recently was able to speak to the bulldogs who have the chance to replace UGA VII as mascot for the University of Georgia. They would like me to tell PETA to shut the hell up.

The coaching rumor mill has slowed of late, but that should change as the axes start to fall. The latest is Steve Kragthorpe is likely coaching his last game at Louisville Friday against Rutgers.
