If we missed a movie at the theater, we had to wait a couple of years to see the "edited" version on free TV.

Reminds me of some comic I saw years ago that went on about how we wouldn't ever tell our moms the dumb crap we'd been doing, like jumping our bikes off ramps made of plywood and then wondering why someone got hurt...
"Mom, I just came running in here out of breath to say I love you, and I wanted to ask, since you were gonna go to the store anyway, could you take Jimmy to the hospital?"

Hell, I grew up not wearing helmets and all that goodness. Kids of today are far too coddled. Bull. You weren't hitting vert ramps. I was careening down ravines with no protection of any sort on a ratty 10 speed bike.

My mother didn't smoke or drink while pregnant with me, and did with my younger two brothers...
...yet I'M the one who had a stroke at 16 months old. Go figure.

That explains why I'm so retarded. I always thought I got that way from watching MTV. At least that's what I was always told would happen.
