You'd think they'd go all out for the 25th Anniversary.
Nice to see the Stooges get in.
I sorta like Genesis, but there are tons of more deserving groups than them and ABBA.

The Stooges have been eligible forever, I'm glad they finally got a nod.

OK time for me to mini-rant. I'm not the worlds biggest ABBA fan by any messure but the group was huge in the 70's. I believe that for at least a year they were Sweden's leading export. Think of that, an entire countries best economic export was a pop band. They've sold records, they had a musical made of their music and a lot of there pop music is enjoyable. Not world changing or anything but enjoyable enough. So I have no issue with them getting into this arbitrary body.
Secondly I have no problem with KISS or Alice Cooper not being in. Why? Well in the case of KISS because they suck. Alice Cooper would be cool. But either way the entire thing is abritary and it's a popular music HOF that uses the blanket term Rock and Roll to describe the popular music of 1955ish to the present. That will include some country,metal,hip-hop,folk,dance pop,prog-rock,punk,new wave, etc. So personally I can't see why one band is more deserving than another. It's not like people were waiting to listen to U2 until the get into the HOF. It's a meaningless but kind of cool gesture. That's all.

I still say I'm not acknowledging this as a real HOF until Alice Cooper and KISS are inducted. This. Even though I was glad to see Metallica go in this year. But these two need to be in before it becomes legit.

Guys, ABBA sold close to 400 MILLION records worldwide. That's why they're being inducted.

Say what you want about KISS you can't deny there success and impact to music. They are one of the most well know bands in the world. They sell out everywhere they go to this day. You don't need to be a fan of theres but to have to look at the facts of there track record in music.

Good to know i'm not the only Hollies fan around,i usually have to explain to people who they are.
To be honest,i'm not that shattered about KISS not being in,they played with passion for their first 6 years and have played for the money the past 30 years.
