Two L4D2 questions, one from the last thread:
1) Where are the original Survivors? 2) Stupid question--I'm trying to get the melee weapon-only Achievement; does the chainsaw count as a melee weapon? I mean, it gets its own Achievements and everything.

Dragon Age: Origins is great, I must say. Last night I decided to play for a bit... and somehow ended up playing it until 8 AM.

But that is just one smelly mans assumption.

No, I mean, they put them in L4D2, hidden somewhere as an Easter egg. I think that they're on top of a building somewhere.
Also, this game is set in Savannah, GA.

My favorite BioWare game is still Knights of the Old Republic which I've played through so many times I've lost count, but Dragon Age is definitely my pick for GOTY 2009 as of now. The character I'm playing as looks like this, by the way: (this pic from my BioWare Social Network page and the character profile in general is quite out of date, she's wearing much better armor in-game)

"You know, me and Keith once were talking, and Keith was going on about how you can't really trust those new fangled AI dudes, since they kinda conk out at bad times. I didn't know what he meant, and I was confused after he said it. I was thinking more about eating some nice cotton candy or a burger or somethin', so I wasn't paying much attention."

Is now really the time?

I mean, it gets its own Achievements and everything. I just got it. I didn't use the chainsaw for that run, but I'm almost positive it counts. It's listed in the eight melee weapons. I don't think you can use molotovs or pipe bombs, though. I think that's what ruined my first go at it (second was startling a witch and getting switched to pistol and firing it). The middle two levels are tricky. One of them you don't see a melee for a while (at least I didn't although that's likely Director). I got it on the last level, which was pretty easy up until the end. Thank goodness for adrenaline. Oh, just got my first avatar award. Can't wait to snag the rest.

But that is just one smelly mans assumption. Actually, the first one likely takes place in PA. I'm not sure which direction or general area it was supposed to be, but it matched up fairly well. Also supposedly the PA setting was a nod to Romero who shot Night of the Living Dead and some of the sequels in/near Pittsburgh. And L4D2 is definitely more south than St. Louis. GA to Lousiana definitely seems right given the sugar cane, French Quarter, accents, etc. I'd personally like to see a L4D3 that combines the original troops (where they either pick four of the eight or better yet, let you pick your four out of eight total)... and make it a Mason-Dixon Line feel... ending with them getting to DC. They could even go through a Civil War reenactment like they do at Gettysburg. Or else L4D: Beatles. They could even end it with a daring escape on a Yellow Submarine.
