Will it be nominated? No. Should it be? No. Is the Academy relevant in any way? No.
But, it's certainly more interesting that Up in the Air, despite a lot of its faults.

Don't worry, Up in the Air is doing fine, which is more than I can say for most smaller releases this year. It will connect with its audience...just a smaller audience than Avatar/Holmes will get.

Yes, Precious is a pretty dangerous film this year, as it works every single angle needed to get a oscar.
