The final episode starts in a few minutes, atleast on the east coast. It's been a fun 17 years.

So they're finally giving up on it? As much as I loved the original series, the Power Rangers became pretty irrelevant (besides being a toy-selling machine) after the second or third incarnation.

I just watch Zyurangers the entire season and it kicked ass. It had a really strong story it was organized better. I still cannot decide who was the better Green Ranger, Burai or Tommy?
Glad the era finally ended.

Damn, finally another good series and I was looking forward to them adapting the next Sentai series. It sucks that Tokuatsu in America is pretty much dead at this point.
And YAY! My second least favorite series gets re-aired!

I actually bought the 1st season on dvd from the Jetix dvd set, and I love it. MMPR was actually the last show I have ever followed.

I stopped after "In Space". Had no clue why up until a year ago when I finally realized why. Turned out the main story arc that began with the original Power Rangers ended. My brain just didn't process that well enough I guess. Dino Thunder was a guilty pleasure though. Probably just because of Tommy. And EVERYBODY, regardless of whether or not you still watch it, EVERYBODY needs to see the episode "Forever Red" once in their lives if you're a fan.

Forever Red was terrible and the only reason people jerk to it so much is fanservice. And unlike Tommy in Dino Thunder the fan service was terrible.

I stopped watching around Power Rangers Zeo. Probably because my favorite ranger (Billy) left during that season. I did watch a little bit of Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and Power Rangers Dino Thunder, as a guilty pleasure.

I'd be interested in seeing a straight dub of the original Japanese source material. That stuff always seemed more fascinating than the Americanized hybrid (which I admit to enjoying quite a bit as a kid).

Ahh, this is sad news. I haven't really followed it since Dino Thunder, but I'm a huge fan of sentai and I'll be sad that they're not gonna be adapting any more.
Ah well, I guess it happens.

Whats worse is that seeing how both RPM and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight didn't do to well either no more Toku or it's going to be a really long time till we see some more.

We'll see more Toku when the inevitable big budget film gets greenlit in about 10 years to profit off of nostalgia.

I don't think it's over. They're just skipping this season because there's no way they can get away with the next sentai show NOT taking place in Japan with Japanese main characters, as it's far too inexorably tied to Japanese culture and samurai imagery. (Kanji all over the place, etc...).

I'd like to see them either go back to the old Mighty Morphin' formula where they don't start fresh every season and/or do a season where the kids of the original Rangers become Rangers.

Legacy Of Power from Dino Thunder is another one people should see, it's a big recap of everything that came before it. It's a clip show but watching Back In Black right after it makes it really good.
