So uhhh Eli. Quick Question. When you have about 30 seconds to move the ball like 80-90 yards, why would you have your first play be a short pass down the middle? Seems kind of, I don't know, retarded.

This is probably something little and stupid that I've missed, but can someone help me out? How haven't Cincinnati clenched the North yet? They're 9-5, and at worst end up 9-7. Pitt and Baltimore are 7-7, and are playing one another. At best, either Pitt or Baltimore end up 9-7. But Cincinnati beat both twice. Don't they own the tie breaker that matters? If Baltimore and Cincy both end up 9-7, Baltimore would win the North due to having a better record between common games. At least I think that's how it goes.

And that play sums up the whole Giants/Panthers game rather nicely.

At least I think that's how it goes. ...that sounds like something the BCS would truck out. They beat Baltimore twice head to head, but that wouldn't matter as much as common opponents? That seems really stupid. It looks like Baltimore is going to lose to Pitt anyway, but still.

If it were up to divisional tiebreaker Cincy would've already locked it up, but they haven't so I assume it's due to that.

I'm just as confused as you are. Only thing I can come up with is if Cincy has a tie in either of their last two games.

KC marches down the field and ties the game 3-3 heading to the half.

KC marches down the field and ties the game 3-3 heading to the half. Actually, that is the only way the Bengals could lose the division. Baltimore and Pittsburgh are "mathematically alive" due to that, but a loss knocks the loser out today, and a tie screws them both over. Unless.. I won't speak it into existence.

Still, Cincy needs to finish off KC right now. But they're playing down again ...

24-0 in New Jersey. The boo birds are out in full force. This is no way to close out Giants Stadium. The hell it isn't! ;D I wish this would have been the scoreline at this time last year when the #1 seed was on the line, but oh well.
