Timely, appropriate, and horrible. Brad Garrett was apparently mainly a voice actor before Raymond, which explains his presence here.

I can give Garrett a pass, because he sounds like a really, really bored Hogan. But I really wanna know who thought up making Piper sound like a whiny criminal genius.

Even stranger than Lou Albano was the voice of Mario but not himself I know that wrestlers had a busy schedule, but devoting enough time to do some voice work to add more authenticity to the cartoons themselves would've been nice instead of getting the wrestling equivalent of wrong sounding Muppets.

Hope you do Captain N after the Mario cartoons. After all, they were made by the same company. Another cruddy cartoon based off of a licensed property is Robocop: Alpha Commando. Its rarely remembered, but look up some episodes on Youtube and you'll be unpleasantly surprised.

We know it's Robocop, is there no other lyrics for this damn opening. At least the Mega Man theme informs us that he's a super fighting robot Mega Man. And Robocop on Roller Skates, the hell?

The actual episode plots are even stupider. None of the characters from the films (other than Robocop/Murphy) ever appear. In the 3 episodes I watched, OCP was never even mentioned. It makes the Rambo cartoon (a frequent target of Youtube parody) look like Chuck Jones' finest hour by comparison.

I loved this show as a kid. In my defense I was too young to know any better.

I got halfway through the first episode and quit. I then realized this is a grown adult reviewing a kids cartoon from twenty years ago, and didn't need to read anymore. Come on it was kids cartoon from the eighties. They aren't supposed to make sense, nor are they going to. And you have to remember this is when Vince had the wrestlers on the road for over 300 days in a year. I really doubt they had time to voice characters in a cartoon. Not like they wanted to spend time with their families or anything. And for anyone that was old enough to remember this cartoon it didn't really matter. Kind of like when they had all of those famous actors voice characters in Transformers the Movie, but none of them if I remember correctly returned for the series.

Hey, Nostalgia Critic does it all the time, and rarely anybody ever makes a big deal about it. It's still animation, and my intentions for this blog were to look at bad cartoons, be they kids shows or adult.

Here's the nude Captain Lou skit. If you've ever wanted to see the Captain Lou in a bath tub... well, i question your sanity.
