Except the situation is entirely different. There was no way anyone else was walking away from WrestleMania XX with the World title than Benoit. You knew it even before the Royal Rumbe that Benoit would go on to win the big one at WrestleMania because of the way he was booked.

I honestly don't see the connection. Nice post, though.

And the reason Michaels hasn't won the title since 2002 is that he has refused it, since being Champion would mean a harder schedule and more time away from his family, which is now more important to him than the WWE.

I think the schedule doesn't matter anymore since Taker has the Smackdown title and he is totally part time. More so than Michaels.

So, maybe HBK will get the belt.

Shawn winning the title is the freshest possible thing that could come out of this match since he hasn't been a World Champ since 02 and hasn't been WWE Champ since 1998.

I didn't read this whole thread because it was a whole lot of the same but my dream way of ending this match would be Trips taking an "Attitude Adjuster" only to turn around in a Sweet Chin Music. HBK takes the fall, Trips acts happy for him, then turns heel and we have a feud we haven't seen in about 5 years.

If a hobbled Undertaker can be the WHC, I dont see why HBK cant get another run.

Maybe he doesn't want it or feels it should go to a younger guy, but WWE will not give any young guys the title beyond Cena or Orton. I say give HBK a run. It would be slightly fresh at least, compared to the other options.

At best I think this is the scenario we'll see. I could also see it going: HBK superkicks Cena, has the match won...HHH breaks up the pin and pedigrees HBK for the win and his 675th title run, setting up a HHH heel turn and a HBK/HHH title match at Wrestlemania since HHH HAS to go for the gold at every freakin WM.

I would love to see HBK win the belt, but I doubt it would happen. HBK as champ could actually have believeable fueds and matches with alot of the younger guys(Swagger,MVP, Kofi, and Legacy) that would just get destroyed by HHH and Cena, it would also be something new. I see Cena winning the match, I guess that is better than HHH, unless HHH turns heel, maybe by pinning HBK or stealing the win froms Micheals.

I don't understand why people have to make it known that they're boycotting something. I could care less and it seems like they want the attention more than anything.
