I miss women who knew how to wrestle. They need a new era of Trish's, Lita's, Molly's, Jazz's, Ivory's, Victoria's, Luna's, Jacqueline's, and anyone else who could play great heel or face character and could wrestle. Sorry but the eye candy we have now SUCKS. I too miss Lita. I loved her main event match against Trish. I was quite surprised that a woman's match would be a main event. Not to mention that those two main evented Raw TWICE, once in 2000 and once in 2005. Great chemistry. A few I miss: *OWEN *HBK's tights *Gangrel/Brood's music *Road Dogg *Tag Title Tournaments (seem to have been completely replaced by gauntlets/Tag Team Turmoil) *E&C *KOTR *Raw being RAW. Not everything was planned out to the last detail, even little things like the camera not catching something outside the ring for a moment, felt better *Wrestlers jumping ship *Eddie, Perfect, Bossman, Bulldog *Big angles that would come to include a whole host of different wrestlers over the course of a month, not everyone as kept in their own little program. Made those 20 minute opening segments a lot more interesting. Probably think of more. |

I miss the pre-brand era.
I miss turning on Raw and legitimately not knowing what's gonna happen next.
I miss WCW.
I miss everyone having a character.
I miss a roster that didn't have to be filled with big roided up freaks.
I miss caring about every single show.
I miss Eddie and Owen.
I miss Tajiri, The Rock, Dean Malenko and Commish Foley.
I miss tag teams.
I miss blood, at the very least, on PPV.
I miss HBK. Yes, the tights as some have said. But, the attitude too.
I miss Paul Heyman.
Even though I'm a huge MMA fan, I miss Brock Lesnar.
More than ANYTHING else, I miss being able to call Chris Benoit my hero.

I miss that intangible sense that anything could happen at any time, and that it really felt important that I kept watching.
I also miss:
Creative, unique debuts.
The APA. (Both the team, and the more general concept of a couple of wrestling mercenaries)
The KotR PPV.
The In-Your-House PPVs, and their pricing.
The Light-Heavyweight, European and Hardcore titles.
Sunday Night Heat.
Raw is War.
Heel announcers, Spanish announcers, and a single announce team throughout the whole PPV.
Catchphrases, dammit.
Proper stables, and enough tag teams of enough variety to have a proper, multi-faceted tag team division.
Any version of DX that had more then two members in it.
Anyone saying "WWF" and "Federation".
Crowds chanting "ECW" and "***hole".
Because I'm a mature responsible adult, I also miss blood, tits and swearing.
Any number of wrestlers; particularly the Rock, Tajiri, Mick Foley, Crash Holly, Lita, D'lo Brown, Bret Hart, Perry Saturn, Brian Pillman, Masked Kane, any version of SCSA pre-2002, and countless others.
Hell, I miss Vince Russo's booking.
Most of all, I miss my naivety and innocence when it comes to watching wrestling.

I miss Eddie, Benoit, Owen, Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, Brian Pillman and everyone who left us before their time.
I miss a competitive tag team division.
I miss the having a full, pre-brand extention roster available for booking matches so we never got to see the same match twice that often.
I miss Trish, Ivory, Tori, Luna, Jacqueline, Molly and Victoria (and by extension a respectable women's division).
I miss surprise debuts.
I miss JR as head of talent relations.
I miss everyone having unique personalities, looks, entrances, movesets, etc. and not having everything micromanaged and scripted by failed sitcom writers.
I miss competition with WCW as it brought out the best in everyone.
I miss not having a PPV every month so feuds can actually be built up accordingly and title defences mean something...
