I Lol'd at Mickie James's "Equestrian Background" being what strengthened her thighs..... In response to that, Grisham said something like "You really did your research on that." And I would've expected a pervier Striker to say "Who wouldn't do research on Mickie's thighs?" But then, I'm weird. *shrug*

Another thing I noticed, he seems to have really bad timing. He often puts over a move just as it's about to get countered or no-sold.

Matt Striker is awesome in today's WWE because he loves wrestling and you can hear it through his preparation and knowledge. The other guys just seem to be fans of making lots of money and because of that are fans of whatever WWE wants them to be.

Striker is not a bad commentator, but I think he's getting carried away at times with his "background researches" and the nicknames that will never stick. Exactly. He's fine, but he needs to lighten up on the nicknames. I don't mind all the info he throws out, though.

The day I realized Striker was a good announcer was when he quoted "The great philosopher Calvin Broadus".

The day I realized Striker was a good announcer was when he quoted "The great philosopher Calvin Broadus". What about Modern American Poet Maynard James Keenan Also also, my brother has hated him ever since he watched a Yoshi Tatsu match and Striker called him something along the lines of a Japanese Stratocaster...

Hell, in one of Yoshi's first matches he was keen to bring up his resemblence to Piston Honda. Seriously, how can one not love this guy? Well, I still will even if he does carried away. The best do, after all.

I love the Striker nicknames, he's the greatest color they have on the roster now but the one thing that irks me is how every good spot he'll go "That's very wise" or "Very smart of 'Wrestler X'" like a dozen times per match.
Gets a little repetitive, especially when everything else about his commentary is so creative.
