I love the Avenue Q story. The people who vote on the Tony awards tend to own big theaters in big cities. (In fairness I'm doing this from memory from years ago) The Avenue Q people went around promising everyone that if they won a bunch of Tonys that they'd go on a national tour. Since if they won a bunch of Tonys it would make a bunch of money for the people who voted (They own production companies and theaters in different cities) they all voted for Avenue Q. Immediately after the win the Avenue Q people announced they had signed an exclusive two year big money agreement with Las Vegas pissing off everyone.

I came across a video for the song "Everyone's a little bit racist" while looking up banned cartoons on Youtube the other day and loved it. Apparently they're doing a production of it here in Australia but I've never heard of it before.

I love the soundtrack! I bought it just because.
They are coming here in March to do some shows at Tempe Gammage on the ASU campus...I was hoping to get tickets for Christmas. *sigh* Nope...but there's still my birthday & wedding anniversary!
8 years is the Avenue Q Year, right?

Love this show. Was lucky enough to see it twice and Broadway, and I laughed my ass off each time.
There currently is a touring production here in the U.S. If you get the chance, I strongly encourage you to go see it.

One of the best shows I've seen. Hilarious, clever, entertaining, very creative and very, very rude.
Go see it.
Everyone.
NOW!
