Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said that those players suspended following an on-campus fight (including wide receivers Mark Dell and B.J. Cunningham) will not play in the bowl game.

Yeah Weis, because the NCAA wouldn't look the other way if Notre Dame violated rules.

Yeah Weis, because the NCAA wouldn't look the other way if Notre Dame violated rules. If I am correct, a grad student is someone who already graduated from college and that means that it is perfectly okay to date them at that time of the day.

After sleeping it off I will say I still think most of the projected BCS games would be a blast. I honestly do not think TCU could hang with Alabama, and let's be honest kids...who here would look at TCU and Boise State clashing and think "...nah, that game can't be any good"? Plus Florida and Cincinnati might be a good game too if Cincinnati can get their act together. The point of TCU/Boise St playing isn't that the game won't be good. It will be. But it will appear to most fans as if the big boys want absolutely no part of the small schools so they can continue to say their inferior.

I was looking foward to that bowl game more than any other game that year.

I'm still calling BS on this Boise State vs. TCU garbage. The Fiesta Bowl is going to take Iowa with it's first pick. I'd be absolutely SHOCKED if they don't.

I'm still calling BS on this Boise State vs. TCU garbage. While I wouldn't mind seeing TCU vs. Boise State, I hope you're right. I'd rather see TCU and Boise play against the big boys. Maybe Florida vs. TCU or Boise vs. Iowa or Cincy. I'd love to see Ohio State play against TCU, Boise, or Cincy..and hopefully lose. ;D Or shoot, how about Oregon vs. Iowa, TCU, or Cincy? GA Tech vs. Boise? Or Oregon vs. Florida or Iowa vs. Florida? If schools weren't so big on sticking to tradition, we could get some interesting games. EDIT: I feel kind of bad for the ACC. Nobody cared about their Championship game. I heard GA Tech/Clemson last night wasn't that bad of a game. But the fact that it was going up against a more important Big XII title game and the fact that both teams lost to average SEC teams the week before didn't help matters. Apparently having the game in Florida didn't do them any favors either, because from what I understand, the only teams in the ACC who have fans who are willing to travel to Florida to watch their schools play are FSU and Miami--teams who are already in Florida.

Do you guys think Brian Kelly will take the Notre Dame job before Cincy's big game vs. Florida in Sugar Bowl?

Heh, one loss team STILL ahead of Boise. They may as well just pack in the program. They have no chance of advancement no matter what they do unless they jump to the Pac10.

Is it just me or did Texas have a weak non-conference schedule? Louisana-Monroe, UTEP, Wyoming, UCF... Florida did too. Charleston Southern, Troy, FIU... (I'm not counting FSU, because they don't have any control over whether or not they play them. )
At least Alabama had the guts to play VA Tech on the first game of the season.
Regardless though, it's tough to win every game on a schedule no matter which teams it consists of.Yes. Most big schools are too cowardly to schedule worthy OOC games. USC seems to be an exception.

Iowa is going to the Fiesta Bowl according to sources at Penn State. The Nittany Lions have been informed that the Fiesta Bowl will be taking the Hawkeyes with their first pick, and Penn State is going to accept a bid to the Capital One Bowl. blog.pennlive.com/davidjones/2009/12/psu_sources_indicate_its_capon.htmlYou don't pass up on the 50,000 black and gold crazed fans that will descend on your city. I don't care how cute a game between the two little guys would be.

Not sure if it was posted around here, but a little while back, there were rumblings of something like this potentially happening; Boise State, Nevada, Fresno State to the Mountain West, and it potentially becoming a BCS Conference. Now, do I see that happening? Highly unlikely, but its still fun to think about. Boise/Utah/BYU/TCU is a very good core for a conference to build around, with Fresno jumping up there sometimes too.

Its a crime that does not break any laws...
And what will be said when Boise and TCU loose to Iowa and Flordia?
They were robbed? BCS Bias?

What's going to be said when TCU or Boise beat Iowa, and Cincinnati beats Tebow in his final game? I'm sure someone will have a brilliant excuse. They were "disappointed" in their opponents and "let down"? Didn't eat enough in the pre-game meal? Got some bad news on draft status and just didn't give a damn anymore?
