I know the buck naked story but, feeding a puppy to a snake? Please don't tell me Rob Black actually did that. It had to be faked right? Well, after the LAPD busted him Black said it was an elaborate work and that no animals were actually harmed. Right. So all you have to do is believe Rob Black. Right. Jed Shaffer ~Rob Black makes the promoter in Spiderman look genial.

Why would you induct XPW when they ran such classy angles like this? (warning: tasteless angle to follow) Not quite safe for work or for maintaining any semblance of good taste. How can a guy take a DDT on his living room floor for nothing?
Here's your answer.
Lizzie Borden wasn't even corpsing and I still wanted to SEND FOR THE MAN!

Lizzie Borden wasn't even corpsing and I still wanted to SEND FOR THE MAN!Let me state for the record that Clockwork Orange was one of my favorite drinking movies in college-the more I drank, the more sense it made. But this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. And I might add this is also a prime example of what I meant about XPW's ring work even being utterly weak. Even the punches they were throwing here look like being attacked by a clawless house cat would hurt more.

~I tried watching the XWF match on Hogan's DVD set. I woke up from my coma three days later. Give it another go. It's worth just for the train wreck that is the "cruiserweight battle royal." Those shows also feature Ian Harrison, a guy so roided that he makes both Rob Terry and WCW-era Scott Steiner look like Barry Horowitz. One more thing about the XWF: Despite popular opinion to the contrary, Hulk Hogan had little to do with the XWF. (In various interviews, he claimed that he was "helping a friend.") The promotion itself was owned by Jimmy Hart and Brian Knobbs, and was booked by Kevin Sullivan. Jerry Jarrett actually refers to the XWF as "Kevin's federation" in his book/diary about TNA. According to Jarrett, TNA, at one time, was going to be the sister promotion of the XWF. The Sullivan-booked XWF would be the "TV promotion," and the Jarrett-booked TNA would be it's pay-per-view counterpart.

I might add that the above clip reminded me that XPW was apparently when EZ Money was at his weirdest. For those who are wondering who the hell that is: he had a minor run at the end of ECW's time. They were trying to build new stars to replace the ones they had lost the WCW and the WWF, and EZ Money seemed to be getting groomed for bigger things. Instead, ECW went under and he joined XPW. I did not watch any matches with him, but I remember seeing pictures online of him wearing these bizzare outfits. One was a rip off of A Clockwork Orange, just like above. The other was supposed to look like Jack Nicholson as The Joker. Makes me wonder just what the hoo ha he was smoking.

Has anyone mentioned to Black and Borden's trouble with the law? Maybe that could be included into the induction. Yes I never watched a episode of XPW. I guess I'm thankful for that.

That's GQ Money, who would go on to become Fabian Kaelin of WSX. EZ Money is a different guy (though I think he might've had a match in XPW at one time, I'm not sure). Beyond popping up in the early days of TNA, I haven't heard anything else of EZ Money. Meanwhile GQ Money is now running his own wrestling school after appearing on a rash of reality shows and infomercials. You're forgetting the next "era", the Return to SoCal. I'd be willing to put Hostile Takeover and Pittsburgh together since they were in the same general area and I think there were only two or three Pittsburgh shows. But after Pittsburgh fell through and the already overloaded Philly indy scene, XPW decided to come back home to SoCal. The thing was they couldn't book actual venues like the LA Sports Arena (which they could never fill) or even night clubs like in their early days so they had to run shows out of...wait for it...a paintball arena. With paint-splattered wooden walls, dirt floors and a ceiling that was falling off, it looked like they were running out of a giant workshed. While they were still able to have some decent talent from the Philly/Pittsburgh shows like Youthanazia and Shark Boy, Ian Rotten showed up for a "dream" deathmatch with Supreme and I think even Raven showed up, you could tell that it was the beginning of the end. After about 3 or 4 shows, if that, XPW was done.
