I don't like Nic Cage in the role, so if they replace him with someone younger/better then this could be great. I rather have another Daredevil movie. I'm sure we'll get that eventually. I wonder if they'll ever do a Moon Knight movie I've seen lists of movies Marvel wants to do with Werewolf by Night on 'em... so I guess anything is possible at this point.

I don't get all the Nick Cage hate? Though this movie would own if ANOTHER Cage were starring in it, and I don't mean Johnny...

I rather have another Daredevil movie. Daredevil Reboot Confirmed www.imdb.com/news/ni1018113/7 hours ago | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news » Another day, another Marvel story. But hidden in the ho-hum news from Variety that another Nicolas Cage-starring Ghost Rider is certainly on the way, is the rather more tantalising news that a re-start for Daredevil is in the works.Let's get Ghost Rider out of the way first: David Goyer has yet to sign anything, but word is he'll be getting story credit on the second film and overseeing the writing, which is slightly odd because it seems to be based on one of his own scripts that's been gathering dust for several years. Maybe it needs re-tooling but he's not quite up for doing that job himself. It's once again a Columbia project, to be produced by Avi Arad, Michael DeLuca and Steven Paul. And it's widely expected, given what he's said before, that it'll be Nicolas Cage riding through your town with his head on fire for the second time. »

I rather have another Daredevil movie. My thoughts exactly. Ditch Affleck, get a proper Matt Murdock in and we'll have the Daredevil we should have got the first time.

I thought Cage was pretty good as Blaze actually, kind of a cross between Evel Knievel and Tony Robbins. The films big problems were:
a plot that was nonsensical even for a superhero movie Blackheart and his minions weren't interesting at all Eva Mendes is a terrible actress.

GAWD, can we stop with getting a listers to play the main character, i know, i know it's what sells movies blah blah, but Nic cage just sucks the air out of a movie, I don't know what it is, and can't place my finger on it, but I just don't like seeing the same thing every movie he's in.

I'm kind of torn on this. Perhaps the sequel could be done better than the first one, ala The Incredible Hulk? But that was more of a reboot, I suppose ... Since The Incredible Hulk skipped the origin and went straight to Banner being in hiding, I think it could still work as a quasi-sequel (wasn't Banner in South America at the end of Hulk, anyway?). Since I didn't really mind the original that much, I have no problem with that line of thinking. As for Ghost Rider 2, I enjoyed the first one enough as an inoffensive diversion (it probably helps that I haven't followed the comics that much), and will probably see this one too.

where is the demand for this movie? who asks for this? the first movie was cack. If they reboot Hulk then they can reboot The Rider, cause Nick Cage was never capable of pulling off such a fantastical and dark role, He's like a theatre actor who never adapted a style for screen, it's always playing to the back seats.

The film was pretty formulaic. Drop the formula, and the film might be entertaining as a biker/bounty hunter film with superpowers. But I we get a love story for the sake of having one, or have another group of townsfolk acting amazed to see another Superhero, for the love of the Living Tribunal's boss, this is the Marvel Universe, or at least a facimile of such. There is no need for people to be shocked about Superheroes anymore.

I'm not 100% on Ghost Rider mythos or anything, (GR2099 was freaking awesome tho) but one of the things that really irked me about the flick was that Blackheart was "just some guy", what the Hell man ain't he supposed to be a cool looking giant black demon?
I actually kind of liked the first go around of Daredevil tho, Michael Clarke Duncan was great KingPin.

Yeah Blackheart really didn't work in the first ghost rider movie. HE is indeed supposed to be like an 8ft Demon, not a guy in a suit. I quite like Cage films so I have no problems there, it just needs the bad guy to be treated with respect. I want my demons!
