If this leads to Ant Man just being on a TV show instead of its own movie, then I'm all for it.

Runaways is just made for a TV series.

Runaways is just made for a TV series. But it's produced by Disney, so we'll get Nico as if she was on "Wizards of Waverly Place", and "non-threatening sexual lifestyle" Lucy In The Sky, and god knows what else they'd do.

Why not a Spider-Man TV show? Well, a new one I mean. Or, an Incredible Hulk TV show? Well, another new one I mean.

There are two ways to do it. Either you have a general concept that would work well as a show regardless of ties, like Runaways, or if you're doing it around a character it has to be one that more than just your fans would find interesting. I don't think Ant Man or Iron Fist is that.
Spider-Man, Captain America, X-Men, they could all be successful live action shows. Really, if you're comparing it to Smallville, that means you're comparing it to a show about one of DC's trinity of major characters, not some third stringer they happened to get a successful show on.

Just because Disney wants to make Marvel TV shows doesn't mean they're gonna put it on the Disney Channel. They do own ABC.

And here I was hoping for an OC style X-Men show.

If they don't Kiddiefy them and keep them serious like Smallville (although Make them older, Not High school setting) then it could work.

Runaways would be great, so would Iron Fist.

Exiles I think would be awesome on TV.
It's basically Quantum Leap/Sliders. With superpowers.

No good can come from this... How do you figure? Marvel has such a vast assortment of characters and properties, and many of them would make for a good TV series. For example, a Heroes for Hire series starring Luke Cage and Iron Fist would make for awesome TV.

Sweet Christmas! ;D I also happen to think that if they were smart, they'd strike some kind of a deal to get a PUNISHER:WAR ZONE series on HBO or Showtime. Something like that could kick LOADS of ass! Heck, even a Daredevil series, as a mixture of CSI/Law and Order/Smallville, where Matt Murdock has just passed the bar and is just getting into playing DD, could be awesome.

A Daredevil series could really work. As you said, they could mix up the the courtroom stuff with the crimefighting, and it'd feel incredibly unique. I really think DD is a character who was made for TV.

Why are you guys going with the notion that Disney only makes family friendly stuff?

You know, one thing I get tired of hearing is "Disney is going to kiddify this and that" and "It wont be good because it'll be G-rated" yada yada yada.
People, Disney owns much more than just the Disney brands. They own and put out content under brands such as ABC, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Pictures.

But if this had said MIRAMAX is going to do "x and such" it would be a different response. Tell me Disney is doing something, I'm looking for the Mousketeers and Jonas Brothers getting roles in it. It's a knee-jerk thing.

I like the idea of going with lesser known characters.
After watching the "moving comic" Scarlet Spider series, I think she could work great. The Krull route could prove difficult if they went with it, but the dialogue was money. Especially the speeches she gave pointing out how stuff still hurt, plans of attacks, etc. It reminded me of Michael Westen on Burn Notice.

I'd enjoy a Hulk series, especially if it was in the same kind of vien as the original. Even better if it was a spin-off show of the original or something.
My idea....
New scientist stumbles over surviving transcripts of David Banner's work. Of course, having no clue about the consequences of the experiment, the scientist conducts it and becomes a new Hulk. Eventually news of the creature's existance spreads, and a reporter who's life long idol was Jack McGee picks up on the story and decides to investigate and reveal the monster to the public at large...mostly to clear his role model's name and prove he was right all along.
This would probably work best with She-Hulk or maybe even Doc Samson. I'd love it if Disney did something like this.
