Which is more important to you? Getting their autograph or taking a photo with them? One or the other.
I'm gonna meet Bret Hart later this month, but I just found out that it is 20 bucks for a photo OR autograph, or another 20 bucks if I want both.
Tell me what you guys would pick!

I like autographs, but I'm a goofy looking mofo and never remember to take a camera.

Both is great, but if it's 20 and you have to pick, picture all the way.

Neither...because why do I have to prove that I met someone? I already know I met them, so having "proof" doesnt really do much for me. Then again, I've never really seen the big deal about meeting a celebrity in the first place.

By the way, if you get a picture with them, wear sunglasses. You don't want to be like midblink or something that ruins the pic like that.

Never saying a word to them, to prove that I don't need to latch onto the famous or blow smoke up their ass.

Depends what you are getting signed. See, in the case of...BRET HART...I was in attendence when he was inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame and I have the HoF Program that was signed by Sherri Martel the day after. I want him to see it and sign it too, I don't think too many other fans got a hold of those.

Then again, I've never really seen the big deal about meeting a celebrity in the first place. My thoughts exactly. I've met famous people and didn't think twice about their status. What I found is they are just normal people.

Picture. I remember meeting Chuck Liddell last summer and I didn't have ANYTHING on me. I don't take a camera with me everywhere I go to begin with, but still...that picture would have been awesome.

both can be equally important it just depends. Example lets just say you got only the autograph which is great if your a collecter and really into that kind of stuff. But what if you tell someone who wasn't with you or whatever and said "hey I meet "whatever" and they respond with something like "Yeah right you did not." That when the picture becomes important because you show them that and you have proof of it.
Pictures are great to prove that you meet the person. Autographs are great if your a collector. But if you ever wanted to resale the autographs you need a pic of him signing it or something to prove that it is real. But that depends on you.

I agree with those saying "Who cares?". I went to a few NFL training camps this past summer and had one those moments where you re-assess yourself when you see others behaving a certain way. Basically, I saw a bunch of 40 and 50 year old guys beg, plead and cry for their football to be signed by guys as young as 23, fresh out of college. It just kind of hit me how bizarre it is (at least in some scenarios) to ask for another person's autograph when in reality, its worthless and makes whatever they sign devalue, as its not authenticated and basically amounts to scribbling on it with a pen.
If you meet someone and talk to them for a while and have the memory of the moment, that's actually worth something, at least to me. Standing in line to say hello to a person and pay them $20 to sign something or snap a picture with you and have them shuffle you away in under a minute is kind of a waste of money, as you're not really meeting them.

I have never met one..(although I did once stand near country artist Charley Pride) but I assume I'd stay far away out of fear of acting like a jackass.
