I don't really see the big deal with either, but a picture seems like a better keepsake than a piece of paper with a name on it.

Oh hey, are you going to Wrestlereunion? See ya there.*
*Not really. Considering we have no idea what the other looks like.

Neither...because why do I have to prove that I met someone? I already know I met them, so having "proof" doesnt really do much for me. Yeah, definitely. But if the autograph is on something involving them, then thats cool. Like if you get them to sign a DVD case of a movie they were in, I'd go with that. But if its on a piece of paper its kinda pointless...

I say it's always good to get a sample of their blood so you can grow your own celebrity at home in a jar. I did this once with Ernest Borgnine and that's how we got Verne Troyer.

Neither I would never approach a celebrity unless we were in the proper social setting like at the same party. Even then I would never ask for a picture or autograph mostly for two reasons. One they have to put up with that stupid BS all the time, I know it comes with the territory, but being a private person myself I can't help but feel sorry for them. The second reason I would never do it is because asking someone that you don't know and have no relationship with for some kind of memento from you 20 second meeting seems really pathetic.

Picture, but if they look busy then I'm not gonna bother them.

Definitely picture. If you lose the autograph, it's pretty much gone forever. If you lose your picture, on the other hand (and saved it in multiple places), you can easily find it and still have it.
See below for what I mean.

I like autographs.
Even better when they're personalized and I don't even ask them to do that.

I don't bother them. Sometimes it's like "Cool, it's so and so!" but I either don't say anything, or just say hi in a way that shows them I recognize them. I don't talk to them though. I don't know them, and they don't owe me anything. I don't need a picture of myself with a stranger, and I don't need their signature on a piece of paper.
I can sort of understand the photo thing, but why anyone wants a piece of paper with someone's signature on it has always seemed strange to me.

I usually don't get that far.
I once met Michael Keaton and called him Batman.
