Some of you may recall Christopher Lee's collaboration with Rhapsody of Fire: Turns out he really really really likes symphonic metal. So much so that March 15th, he'll be releasing his own album! Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross! Samples of the album on the website. I'm not that into symphonic metal myself. I think it's too camp awesome to listen to for too long. My head generally explodes from too many dragons in my head. But since it's Christopher Lee, I'll definitely be picking it up. And yes, Christopher Lee CAN sing. Well. And fun fact, Christopher Lee is a direct descendent of Charlemagne.

Of course he's metal, he's a Sith Lord. And he's Dracula.

I hope the symphony's woodwind section is entirely played by Uruk Hai.

Plus, he was in Lord of the Rings.
Eveyone in that movie has instant metal cred.
Except Orlando Bloom

Christopher Lee is truly a Renaissance man.
Another fun fact, he was so psyched to meet Tolkien that he threw up on him.
