So, here's the deal fellow Crappers, I've decided that inspite of getting free college in the state of Indiana thanks to my Purple Heart, I HATE HATE HATE it here. And there is NO way I could live here another 3 or 4 years til I graduate.
So I've been looking for alternatives this past month, and ended up deciding that leaving would do me some good.
Choice A: I have been offered a job working at SeaWorld in Orlando part time as a Security Guard. I absolutely fell in love with Orlando and SeaWorld when I vacationed there last month. The big issue with it is that I wouldn't be able to attend UCF(University of Central Florida) until I got atleast 60 credits, which I'm only about at 25. So I'd have to go to community college and try and find a place to live and hope that the SeaWorld gig and the GI Bill money covers rent and everything else.
Choice B: I've applied to Hawai'i Pacific University, and there is really no reason that I DON'T get accepted. They are known for not taking the SAT/ACTs in account(which I never took thanks to joining the Army at age 17) and they are also a Yellow Ribbon school, which means they are very accepting of Veterans and put us ahead of most others. I'd be going to school in downtown Honolulu and living in a condo in one of the beach towns and doing my internship at one of the resorts.
I'm pretty torn over this, as it's a HUGE choice to make and I think just typing it out here has helped me sort of refocus. I'd like to see what you guys would do. Thanks!

What would you be studying at HPU? And what would you be interning for?

I love Orlando, but its way expensive on a part time budget, even with help.

I say go Hawaii man. It'd be less irritating than doing community college.

If you can actually afford to go to Hawai'i and live for three or four years and get an education out of it to boot, I say go for it.
