Hello there, fellow 'Crappers. While I'm usually not one to discuss my personal life on here (or much at all lately, which I'm sorry for), I felt I should make an exception tonight. Now, while many of you may simply know me as That Emma Watson Guy™, or even not since so many of the old faces seem to have moved on, been taken from us or been... err... banned, it is a little known fact that I do OTHER stuff as well! Now, while the height of my posting here was during a self imposed hiatus from formal education, I returned to college 15 months ago and applied myself a bit. I ended up being put forward as an Oxford/Cambridge applicant and sided with Cambridge. After going for a (painful) entry exam and a (painful) interview, in which I ended up talking about Lord of the Rings quite a bit, I felt I had represented myself quite well but failed admirably. I spent the past month or so preparing myself for my rejection letter and pat on the back for trying my best. So imagine my shock tonight when I received an email to say my university application status had been updated (expecting a rejection from another of my choices), only to find I have been offered a place. As such, I'm rather happy tonight and would like to extend much peace and love to my fellow 'Crappers, who have never failed to keep me entertained during my free time outside, and inside, of college. Please accept this gift of the first Emma Watson photograph I've posted in many a month... ...as well as the only Sid promo that could be posted at a time like this. The Short Version: Hey guys, I'm still a member here!

Now, by my understanding this means you need to pick up pipe smoking and buy some scotch?

If you don't mind me asking, are you from a rich background or not? I know a guy who just got into Oxford, but he's not minted by any stretch of the imagination, so whenever someone like that gets in, I give a little cheer inside.
Congrats whatever background you're from, mind you.

I'm not from a bad background or anything, but I live in a bungalow in a little town and spent a good portion of the interview talking about computer game narratives. So I think it's safe to say I'm not the stereotypical student ahaha, and thanks.

You're either really rich, really smart or both. Either, congrats on getting accepted. Getting into any college is an accomplishment but getting into Cambridge is a real honor. Good luck to you.

You got in by talking about Lord Of The Rings? Damn it. I talked about Star Wars and got rejected. I guess those elitists haven't seen Clerks. 2.

I don't like the kind of aura/attitude that Oxbridge present themselves as having, nor some of their conventions, but it's not up for debate that a degree from either institution is pretty much a skeleton key to a whole load of opportunities that nobody else can get, so congratualtions Bro, that's really something to be proud of!

Don't worry, I don't view it as the be all and end all of institutions that some people do, so I won't be turning heel on the forum or anything ahaha. Thank you!

Okay now that's just cheating. ;D BTW I never would have thought of going to a college like that. I went to community college for two years and that was enough for me. Too much liberal crap for my taste(yeah even on the community level) but a degree from a place like that looks pretty damn good on a resume so you should be good.

I figure it'll come in handy when I apply for a job with the WWE on the writing staff. Then get screamed at by Stephanie McMahon after five minutes. Then get fired.
