I think that may have been Pixar's best film yet. It kept me laughing, but it had a serious story with it, too. I KNOW it's gonna make my dad cry.

I went to see it with the girlfriend. It was so sad at first, his wife dying, which I seriously wasn't expecting. It caught me off guard and made me feel .

That whole segment when they skipped through their married life in a couple of minutes was magical. It was joyous and heartbreaking all at the same time. I knew she died (because it was a major part of the story) but the bit that made me weep was {Spoiler}when she is being told that she can't have kids something about that scene just made it feel like someone had ripped my heart out.

It's definitely my favorite Pixar film and overall one of my favorite movies. Of course,it's hard to make a bad Pixar film. I don't really like the Toy Story movies(I know,I know) and didn't really like Wall*E that much but even those three wouldn't classify as bad films to me. I just didn't care for them but they weren't horrible by any stretch. But as for Up,I just thought the story was wonderful.

Its not Pixar getting "away" with it. Pixar just has the balls to go for it. Look at the (superior) first half of Wall-E on the abandoned Earth. You think Dreamworks Animation would have the brains or courage to produce such a segment? Nah they would try to cram as many lame (quickly dated) pop culture references and real weak writing. And Up, well forget haven't made much ink about how the kid's parents are divoced. Thats the first Disney cartoon film I know of where they went there. And accepted as being part of American reality. Its brought up, and taken for granted. Never exactly dwelled because alot of the kids in that audience live in that reality already. Admit it folks... {Spoiler}you teared up too when the scrapbook's ending was revealed.

Forget the Best Animated Feature ghetto. Leave that to Dreamworks. UP is the best PICTURE of the year, period.

I've seen it a few times. Everytime I watch it I think of the post in here about the sick little girl that wanted to see it before she shuffled off the mortal coil. The thought of that always makes my eyes well up a little.

It has to be the best film of 2009 I've seen so far. It made me laugh and cry which films don't do to me very often. Hopefully my Dad's taking me and my sister to see it again soon.

I just finished watching it. Without a doubt, its both Pixar's best film and the best film of the year. A great mix of laughter and drama, and I cried two times in the movie (guess which two scenes).
This is why I love Pixar!

"Please oh please be my prisoner!" That dog is just incre...SQUIRREL!....that dog is just incredible. When he said "I hid under your house because I love you" or something to that effect, I just couldn't help but go "aww...." I'm not going to lie, I cried a bit during this movie both times I saw it. You can't help but just feel for these characters in certain situations, which made Up such a great movie.
