But, Roseanne did achieve what she wanted, cause to this day...we are STILL talking about it!

And when Fred came along, here was a nice guy who treated her right...and she STILL wanted no part of the man. I never understood how Fred was kinda cast as the bad guy in their divorce.

It has been years since I have seen it but I always thought he was cast as the good guy. Even Rossanne was on his side yelling at Jackie for being so stupid when it came to Fred.

So basically, John Goodman beat up a woman? In his defense, her toe was definitely over the line.

Never bothered with Roseanne, and why should I? It was basically the watered down, more "realistic"* Married with...Children.
*=Which for a sitcom is totally against the point.

I just pretend the last 5 minutes didn't happen. I liked the family winning the lottery and all the wackiness that ensued. The only thing I didn't like was they killed Dan.

I hated how when they win the lottery, they stay in the same crappy town, and their same crappy house. They just add tacky decorations and new appliances.

in desperate times finding Roseanne hot as hell one night for some reason. I'll admit. There are some episodes in the later seasons where she is looking pretty doable. BARF BAG PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really can't believe people are upset about the final episode, especially to this day. The entire series was a fictionalized version of Roseanne's life. What difference does it make if some of it was a fictionalized universe within a fictionalized universe? It doesn't change the plot of the episodes, or even their context when watching several in order.

In his defense, her toe was definitely over the line. Was it a league game?

I have to disagree with you. I enjoy both programs, but I felt MWC was a more unrealistic protrayal of a disfunctional family. Roseanne seemed fairly on the mark with some of the earlier episodes in it's dramamedy.
