And now for a series I was just reminded of. Actually a staple of my childhood. The Super Chinese series was pretty awesome. Three of them were localized over here as Kung-Fu Heroes, Little Ninja Brothers, and Super Ninja Boy. They're nothing too special I guess, but they're quirky and fun, I think.
Gooood times.

LOADED is on my list, too (Saturn FTW).
I would really like to add this. I know it's popular in Japan, not sure about USA, here nobody knows it exists!

Frequency & Amplitude Without both these games you'd never get the craze known as Guitar Hero and Rock Band I think we'd have those games without Frequency and Amplitude. I attribute GH and RB more to the DrumMania and GuitarFreaks series. The Darkness on PS3. For an FPS, it was inventive, fun, and violent as all hell, and the pleasure to be derived from sending a demonic snake to eat your enemy's heart CANNOT be overstated. Man that game was amazing. Being in that weird purgatory thing was one of the strangest game experiences I've ever had.

Ten Pin Alley on the Sega Saturn - Before Wii Sports Bowling, there was no greater bowling party game out there. It was 100% pure fun. Beyond Oasis (Genesis) and Landstalker (Genesis) - both were both cool little RPG games on the Genesis, which filled the void that Zelda couldn't fill. Sega Sports Jam (Dreamcast) - This was another cool sports-themed party games. You'd have to do stuff like kick a field goal at a certain distance, but everything was timed button pressing. It was all short and fast-paced fun. Beyond Oasis is a very kickass game. I'll say the Monster Rancher games deserve more love.

Rival Schools A highly Underrated Beat em Up It's a fighting game, not a beat 'em up...but that's just semantics, I guess. Either way, Rival School is indeed very, very awesome.

Final Fantasy X-2. I'm like the only person who tends to like this game. If it makes you feel any better, I like it too. Awesome battle system, I liked the plot, and just in general it was a whole lot of fun. Count me as another fan. Oh, and I wanted to mention Pulseman for the Genesis/Wii Virtual Console. Initially, I think it was only available in the US through the Sega Channel, but if you did have it then you were lucky.

Quite possibly the best puzzle game ever...and it really doesn't get appreciated as much as it should. I thought this game was better even then Twilight Princess (which although I never finished, though it was a disappointment compared to the other 3D Zelda games.)

Last Bronx is in my opinion an underrated fighting game kind of like VF2 but with weapons. Not as good as VF2 but the way you can cancel your moves makes for a unique gameplay element. It's more of a game with a cult following.

You've played Rival Schools? Bet I'll beat your ass with Hinata, Kyosuke, and Daigo. I love that game. It's basic as hell, but that's the beauty of it.

-Dragon Fighter for NES. Action game where you're some guy in a feathered hat who can temporarily become a dragon (though the screen begins auto-scrolling when you do so)

ObsCure for the PS2
It's like, Resident Evil meets Alone in the Dark. (That's like the best example I could think of for this game)
