Say what you will about those at SyFy, but as long as they still do this marathon, I'll watch.

Say what you will about those at SyFy, but as long as they still do this marathon, I'll watch. It's the only time I do. Unless they rerun Friday the 13th: The Series, Tales from the Darksideor the original Kolchak, the Night Stalker.

They run Friday the 13th: The Series?
I used to LOVE that show as a kid. That and Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series were staples of my childhood.
My favorite Twilight Zone episode is tied between the one where they burn all the books... or the pig faced - Beauty Eye of the Beholder one.

Also on the note of marathons: AMC is airing it's annual three stooges marathon and Cartoon Network will be running Looney Tunes all day tomorrow.

Of the marathon options on the table, definitely like Twilight Zone the most and am rolling with that. I may jump to TV Land for their much-shorter Married With Children one tomorrow night, but we'll see.

It's a petty solid episode right up until the State henchmen turn into flesh eating zombies or some s*** for no reason in the last minute. yeah, a strange ending for sure. But "Act II"(the apartment scene) is probably the greatest 18 or so minutes of television. Seriously gripping stuff that I never tire of watching. "The Hitchhiker" is on now. The ever beautiful Inger Stevens in a good little "open road thriller". Decent episode. It has Inger Stevens in it, and who doesn't want an excuse ot look at her for 22 minutes.

The show was produced as Rod Serling wanting an outlet to which he could preach his thoughts on issues facing audiences in the 50s/60s, and yet something those episodes he penned or produced others' scripts still resonate deceades later. Especially with this fan who was born 20-25 something years after Zone was cancelled. My favorite, oh so many. Loved that one where an old woman takes in an injured man (a young Robert Redford) who turns out to be the Grim Reaper. That bizarre one where Robert Duvall obsesses very much over a dollhouse in a museum, he joins the collection. "The Obsolete Man" is really really touching philsophically and intellectually. So many. But my pick, my kneejerk vote, goes to that Christmas episode where a drunk homeless guy who makes his booze money from playing Santa Claus at the department stores. Great moment when he decries the nonsense that "Christmas" has become, with people buying expensive crap that their spoiled kids while pile under the bed and collect dust....while some poor kids living on the streets get nothing. The ending is very predictable, and very corny. Yet I guess it works because its pretty sincere. A feel good Twilight Zone episode? Not too many of those. {Spoiler}Drunk finds a magic bag, becomes the real Santa Claus, and gives all the good children of the world (rich and poor) presents.

I love 20,000ft. It's so weird in this day and age to see things like smoking and guns on a commercial flight.

Have to say my favorite episode is The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street I'd say that might be the greatest episode of any television show, ever. I also think The Twilight Zone is the greatest television show of all time. The only time it lagged was in season 4 because the network wanted it to be an hour.

Have to say my favorite episode is The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street First episode I saw (or at least remember seeing), back in seventh grade, and had a lot of fun with it then. Eagerly waiting for it to pop up later on in the marathon.
