To complement my favourite film of 2009 thread, how about favourite tv show of the decade?
These are tv shows that either began or gained significant popularity (eg. Family Guy) within the 2000's. For that reason, shows such as The Simpsons and Friends are not listed.
I also included an 'other' option, since I know I could have included many others like Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, The OC...etc. Surprisingly, I don't watch a lot of TV, I just compiled a list off of internet surveys and popularity.
My favouirte is LOST btw.

Lost, barely edging out amazing shows like Six Feet Under, Supernatural, and Survivor. I wanted to say Frasier, but their best episodes were back in the 90s.

This isn't even a contest. Lost by a country mile, although I loved West Wing too until Sorkin left.

The Office. I've never been much of a TV show kinda guy. I'll watch a few episodes here and there, but I never really attempt to keep up with the story lines. I decided to watch an episode of the Office a few months back and I fell in love. I now have all the seasons on DVD and I've damn near got every episode memorized.

The day Arrested Development ended was the day television peaked.

Almost a coin flip between Lost and The Wire for me. Battlestar and Surivior also get honorable mentions, as well as the Simpsons (which is easily my favorite from the 90s).

I'm probably the only one who will say this, but Boston Public. The first two seasons were amazing. Shame it got comically bad toward the end (though it was always entertaining).

Arrested Development.
Maybe because it never had a chance to get horrible like most of the others hows on the list, but I enjoyed every episode and even watched at 11:47 PM on Friday nights when Fox finally decided to kill it off by hiding it away and blaming it on ratings.

Damn. It's a toss up between Scrubs and other. Other just happens to be How I Met Your Mother.
I'm gonna have to go HIMYM. I begin getting into scrubs about 2 years ago cuz of all the re-runs and new episodes, but I have been a HIMYM since the pilot. And I own the first four seasons. The 5th season right now I think is awesome!

Man this is hard, but I'm going to go outside the box with one of my favorite guilty pleasures of the last 10 years with Boston Legal. Maybe it's because of I love the work of James Spader, maybe it's because I love the comedic aspect of shatner. It was just great TV.
