Dark Match
1. Tyler Reks beat Goldust.
ECW Taping
1. Matt Hardy defeated Finlay. Hardy won with a Twist of Fate in a homecoming qualifier. Christian sat in on commentary for the match.
Zack and Rosa were backstage when they ran into Tommy Dreamer. Zack told him his career was over. Dreamer got all fired up and said that if Ryder beats him tonight, he'll leave ECW for good.
Ezekiel Jackson came to the ring for a promo. Kozlov came out and shoved him out of the ring for a decent pop.
Backstage, Christian told Dreamer no matter what happens, he'll always be the heart and soul of ECW.
2. Evan Bourne defeated Mike Knox in a homecoming qualifying match.
Backstage, Dreamer hugged Tiffany and she thanked him for everything.
Monday Night Raw returns to Izod Center on Monday April 19th. Tickets go on sale next month.
Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu were speaking in Japanese. Croft and Barretta made fun of them. Goldust spoke in Japanese and the faces left. Pretty pointless.
3. Zack Ryder defeated Tommy Dreamer. Per the match stipulation, Dreamer must retire from ECW. Decent match. Dreamer went for top rope suplex, but ryder reversed it midair into crossbody to get win. Dreamer had pinned Ryder earlier but Ryder had his foot under the bottom top so the match was restarted.
Dreamer addressed the crowd afterward. He talked about the first wrestling event he saw in this building seeing Roddy Piper. He thanked everyone from the original ECW and the new ECW. He said if you have passion, you can make it anywhere. He got emotional and broke down. They showed his kids in the front row. Good speech. Standing ovation.
Dreamer left his shirt in the ring. He took his two daughters from his wife (a/k/a ECW's Beulah), and carried them to the back.

Cool to see Dreamer getting a nice send-off. I suppose its fitting that ECW finish out the decade with a goodbye to the only constant in its history.

I can't remember the last time he actually won a match. At least Knox has been jobbing to guys who are actually really over with the crowd and have been getting pushed. (R-Truth, Kane, etc.)

Can someone please clue me in on when and why we started caring about Mike Knox? I mean, seriously caring, not just making jokes about his beard?

I do love that they actually gave Dreamer a proper write off instead of him just up and vanishing, and that Ryder gets a rub out of it. Shame he's already lost out on the homecoming tournament but hey, always can go for the gold after that's over.

I do love that they actually gave Dreamer a proper write off instead of him just up and vanishing Well, this was like one step away. It's not like there was a serious program developed leading to his departure. This was what, his second match with Ryder? But at least he got shown some respect on the way out, and the speech to the fans sounds cool.

Wait, Dreamer left his shirt in the ring?
I hope he had on something under it. Giving the audience a glimpse of those jigglers would not be a good way to close out your legacy.
...What, if he's leaving then I have to get the fat jokes in while there's still time! =P

For lulz, Raven should've shown up and DDT'd Dreamer during his speech.

Wonder if they will show the speech. I'm kind of curious how Beulah looks.
Dreamer was never the best wrestler but you could tell he loved what he was doing.
