I could be mistaken but I thought that the Monday Impact was one week only, at least for now.
But to answer your question, yes. My theory has been the "pg/kid-friendly" whatever you want to call it is to recruit a new generation of lifelong fans, and as those fans age WWE will naturally evolve its product with them.

I doubt it, at least 'til after 'Mania. If I recall correctly back in the day (1996-1997) Bret Hart had a HUGE problem when the then WWF first started to 'adult up' it's product. Considering Bret is involved in a major money angle over the next few months I can't see the E moving away from the PG Era during said period. Besides all signs point to Vincy loving the whole PG concept, thus I don't see it going away anytime soon.

Not until after Linda McMahon loses her senatorial bid.

When they realize that the fans that are 8 to 12 years old now will eventually grow out of their product, maybe, if you think about it.
They wont do it unless they need to, and right now I don't see that time coming very soon.

Yes. The current audience they cater towards will age. Once they do, Vince will try to usher in Attitude 2.0. It may happen sooner than later if TNA ever manages to provide real competition.

I think it might happen, but probably won't be until Stephanie and Triple H take over the company after Vince retires or dies.

Not until after Linda McMahon loses her senatorial bid. I agree. Though, did anyblody expect them to abandon their Attitude Era presentation last year?

Yes, but it will take several years. Vince is trying to hook in new fans, since many of the old ones lost interest after the WWF's height. When the kids decided they've outgrown the current product, he will try to snare them back in by making the storylines grow up as well, and presenting a more cutting-edge product again.

When they realize that the fans that are 8 to 12 years old now will eventually grow out of their product, maybe, if you think about it. They wont do it unless they need to, and right now I don't see that time coming very soon. Yeah. The thing with the fans "growing up" is that... 1. Some are going to stay (look at us... almost everyone here is TV-14 at the least, if not M and we're still watching). b. they can thereotically continually replace that core audience. there's always wrestling fans who "grow up and grow out" of the product. Personally, over half my friends stopped watching around the time high school ended (which was 2001... the end of the Monday Night Wars era). - Money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe advertising has picked up some from going PG. Advertising and wrestling have never gone hand in hand, but I imagine WWE is making some more cash than they were from oh say the last five or so years. People think the commercials are repetitive now, they were insanely bad after the ratings trickled out from the end of the Wars. Hell, even during the Monday Night Wars, I think Castrol GT commercials were played during every break.
Even discounting commercials, 8-12 is a key age for kid's to get hooked on something. If it's wrestling, WWE is well known that parents will buy their kid's whatever crap they see at Wal-Mart or K-Mart. Same as Power Rangers, Pokemon or whatever. It just seems to be a common age before kid's become better at dividing their time better between girls, music, video games, whatever. Granted, it's a lesser extent than the "holy tween grail" or 'N Sync/Miley Cyrus/Twilight/whatever, but it's still a strong market.

Yes, when the current crop of kids watching reach their teens and get tired of kiddie story lines.

Eventually it will....say in about 5-10 years when the new fans being hooked in now grow up and want more mature storylines.
The older group of fans (like us on here) are pretty much going to watch regardless and WWE knows that. Gotta create new fans to keep the business going.
Although I don't see how PG is a bad thing.

Maybe if we just post enough threads about the TV-PG rating.

Whatever it takes to get the current Hornswoggle garbage far far away from TV, I'm for.
If that means going back to TV-14, then I hope it happens, and soon.
But honestly like others have said they are doing now basically what they did from about 1993 to 1996 and go for the younger demographic in order to hook another generation of fans. Once the time is right, they'll juice it back up for the teenage version of said generation.
