I just watched this and loved it. Ted Dibiase is far superior to John Cena in their roles and the story is better as well. IF you haven't watched this I suggest you rent it and give it a shot, if you have seen it feel free to discuss and rate.
So I've been seeing commercials for this flick on TV and not once do they say the star's name. It's quite obvious they realize nobody outside of dedicated WWE fans knows who Ted DiBiase Jr. is.
I really don't understand the strategy here. They haven't made Junior a big enough star to sell the movie based on his star power...and they aren't promoting the movie enough or doing any angles on TV to take advantage of the film's release to build Junior up.
It's shaping up to be a totally missed opportunity, IMO. Sure, they'll make some money from the movie, but they could make a lot more in the long run if they put a wrestler in the movie that people care about or used the movie to make people care about Ted. But they haven't bothered to do either.
