I'm very split. On one hand, their match at WM 25 was great and i don't want it to be "ruined". On the other hand, it's not like numerous encounters between say Austin/Rock or Flair/Sting did anything to hurt their feud, and they haven't faced in 12 MONTHS. Furthermore, as much as the match is beloved (and is one of my favorites) it wasn't THAT untouchable that the couldn't do it again or even better. Both are clutch enough and creative enough to do better and i have 100% faith in that. Lastly, every other Taker option has seemingly been exhausted. Cena/Taker and Vince/Taker don't have a lot of appeal to me or seemingly a lot of other posters.
Also, the rematch would have some people doubting they do the same outcome two years in a row, still able to put doubt into the streak possibly ending.
Ye or Ne?

Hell no. Truth be told, while the match itself was great I didn't have any interest in seeing it in the fist place - plus, if they did a rematch it's entirely possible Michaels could win, and that's a worst case scenario.

HBK/Taker was a good match, but I rather see something new

Absolutely. We're looking at a show where the title matches could once again include some combination of Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Batista. This would only be the second time they'd gone one on one in about a decade, and even if it isn't AS good as the first, it would still be far and away the best thing on the show.
I'm not optimistic about much of anything in WWE anymore, so the guarantee of having at least one guaranteed kick ass match at Mania is important.

Cena/Taker would be 10x better just for the drama.

Yeah! I want to see the best possible match and, this is the only appealing thing they have at the moment, IMO.

No.No. No. No. No.
I can't believe they might seriously go with this.
Some poster on here nailed it..Shawn wouldn't win, and we've already seen them bust out a great match, I'm not worried they can't do that again. But Shawn Wins?..people are pissed. Taker wins?..We've already seen it.

You're not gonna top last year's and what's the point if the result will be the same. And, if it's not the same, then I'm gonna be pissed off cause that "young up and comer" HBK ended the streak.
I'd accept a variation though...DX vs. Taker & Kane for the Tag Titles

i don;t think anyone could get into a rematch unless its a stipulation match. Undertaker would win and we already seen it. However an I Quit or Last Man StandingMatch between the two would be interesting

Only if Shawn wins. I can't understand why people get so emotional about the undertaker's streak. Imagine what would have happened if Hogan never beat Andre because 'Andre can't lose his streak'.

I'd rather see HBK vs. Morrison, to be honest.

The only thing a rematch would do is show how much 'Takers deteriorated in the space of a year and that would just be sad.

The only reason to do it is to have HBK snap Taker's streak. I'd like to see that, but there is no reason to have a rematch with the same end result.
Their is drama for this one since most people will not believe they would do the same match and same ending two years in a row especially since they stressed how hard it was for Taker to beat him the first time. But Shawn doesn't need to snap the streak and at this point if they want to give someone that type of rub it should be a younger guy. Further, HBK shouldn't have to job two years in a row to Taker since it does nothing for anyone.
So....I'm not really up for a sequel because they are always operating under the laws of diminishing returns and rarely possess a logical reason to exist.

NO. Just have some up and comer bust Taker's streak, retire him, and be done with it. I have no interest whatsoever in seeing Taker physically corrode any further. Let HBK fight HHH or something. At least there's more than a year between that fight. Hell, let HBK fight the damn bobcat mascot. But doing the exact same "special event" as last year? This is unoriginal booking even for this day and age.

Andre's exaggerated streak was made just to buildup Hogan beating him. Besides, Hogan was the present and future of the company. The man that made wrestling as big as it was in the 80's. Shawn is the past, currently a special attraction and is not or ever was a big draw.

is not or ever was a big draw. Royal Rumble 1997 DX currently. Just because he doesn't get the single hugest reaction doesn't mean he isn't a draw.
