Love the metaphor, love the prediction. You need a third Legacy member to pull it off, though. Maybe Joe Hennig? Either way.....AWESOME idea. ;D If Cody and Ted rebel, Orton could always bring in Joe Hennig with the Rotunda Brothers.

It'd be funnier if he decided instead of going with more wrestler offspring, he just brings in some of those random "Orton Clones" everyone complains about from FCW, has them get similar tattoos to his, shave their head exactly like him, and adopt his facial tics and general mannerisms, and just have Orton lead a group of quasi-unstable people who try to blow their opponents up, scream "SHUTCHERMOUF!", and kick them in the head.

this plays out like follows:
ted eliminates randy from the rumble, creating obvious problems.
ted officially turns on randy after the rumble, possibly at no way out.
raws leading up to mania involve whos side is cody on.
randy vs ted at mania...cody makes up his mind by causing one of the two to lose, thus keeping his alliance with the other.

The easy way to drive a huge rift between them would be to have Randy beat up their dads. The ex-Legend Killer taking out the legendary fathers logically should be what changes their opinion and stance on him.
If that doesn't work, then what the hell do I know?

Randy already took down Dusty, and Cody didn't do a damn thing about it.

But then, I would argue that the fall off Pride Rock was him losing his bid to regain the championship, and everything since has been the hyena's creeping towards him.

It would be even cooler if it was literal. Orton screws over Legacy earlier in the night letting them get beatdown and abandoning them. Then later in the night he looks to be losing a Ladder match after a fall to the outside of the ring. He stands a chance of getting back, but he's intercepted by Legacy.
Cody Cross-Rhodes' him onto the steel steps, and then Ted Dreamstreet's him through an announce table.

It's been brewing since Ted was put out, earlier this year.
Well done storyline, so far.

just from how last night played out, it seems more like itll end up with Ted being the odd man out, and Randy and Cody growing closer as teacher/student. They may play up the whole Marine 2 thing, and when Ted got headkicked by Orton, and may even bring back Brett Dibiase as part of it. Thats how Im seeing it.

I would love to see Cody or Ted eliminate Randy from The Royal Rumble, that would be an excellent start to the breakup of Legacy.

Randy already took down Dusty, and Cody didn't do a damn thing about it. Then what the hell do I know? In fairness, that happened back when Randy was still in the WWE Title picture. Randy was a "bigger deal" at the time, and when he looked at Cody with that look like "Try and retaliate, see what happens" you could buy Cody having doubts that it would be a good move. NOW, though, Randy's lost some of his luster, and Ted and Cody are more sure of their actions (and less sure of Randy's). I could see Randy snapping at his "lackeys" and trying another power play like when he RKO'd Dusty, but this time Cody and Ted are like "it looks like you need us more than we need you" and then attack him.

I'm loving the vibe with Legacy right now. Cody and Ted are portrayed as legit friends, living in a mix of fear, anger, and reverence towards Orton. They're more and more aware every time we see them of how useless Orton has been to them. Even though some people in the Raw thread called the mini-angle regarding "re-testing" them pointless, I thought it was great. It showed that they're losing patience and questioning Randy's random psychotic choices, and that they're both able to win clean without any help from eachother/Randy. It also showed their solidarity, which I enjoy, because I like when the wrestlers are friends with eachother, even heels. So here's where I think Legacy is going: Anyone follow me? Legacy are going to say "Mufasa" and piss off Randy?
