I was hoping more for a Hornswoggle death angle.

The limo blowing up was not an angle; Vince really did die. He was replaced by the winner of a Vincent Kennedy McMahon look alike contest. The next storyline will be the members of DX placing subtle clues in their merchandise to expose the truth.

I hope they do. And if DX is still around, I hope HHH goes "Well here we go again."

That could explain the downward spiral in quality of the wrestling sports entertainment show.

In Scott Keith's book "Dungeon of Death", the storyline was created as a "parody" of the ending to The Sopranos since the show ended with little fanfare, and Vince wanted to go the opposite.
However, people thought it was a pretty tasteless when they set it up after the Sherri Martell death. Plus, it was so badly executed that it wasn't really much of a storyline.
It did set up a pretty funny picture I saw another guy produce over at the CBR forums, however, of Randy Orton doing his pre-match pose in front of the burning inferno that was the limo.

You should've seen the epic Photoshop thread right after the incident went down. My personal favorite was the one of a shot of Ric Flair dancing overlayed on top of the exploding limo.
