Chrono Trigger actually could make a really good pair of movies. Do one up until about the fight with Magus, then have one pick up from there and run through the Ocean Palace, the resurrection, the Marle and Frog sidequests, and then the confrontation with Lavos. Could be great.

Eager to see new takes on the source material like Kratos getting a wisecracking black guy for a sidekick and the formerly important Athena being killed halfway through the movie offscreen.

Sonic
If they can make THAT for an intro that people skip every time they play the game, imagine what they could do on a budget.
The story on the other hand...

Sukodne 2 could could be an epic movie if it had the properer budget, casting, and time to let the story develop. The way the game is broken up Suikoden 2 would make a great trilogy, as would Suikodne 3.

This a thousand times. Next in line for me is Final Fight. No real special effects, though, just a typical early 90's type action film. It has everything an action film needs, imo. Interesting characters, a colorful gang, simple enough plot... Just throw in the "OH! MY CAR!" dialogue in a scene at a gas station. L4D would work well if they got the right cast or, likely more easily, just went with a new crew and then tied them into a future game. I'd also sort of enjoy seeing Undertaker play Francis. Also, Assasin's Creed II, I think could translate pretty well. Personally, I'd go with a new script seperate from those of the games but that still ties in. (Similar to what I'd want Halo to be if they did a movie on it.) I think Mass Effect could possibly work, but I could see it working better as a TV series ala Stargate.

Bayonetta is a now-obvious choice.
Metroid could revolutionize movies by becoming a modern-day silent film, like a live-action WALL-E.
Sonic is iffy...I thought that maybe--MAYBE--if you just do it with all humans, it could be something that a casual fan would want to see, but beyond that, I don't know if it'd be successful.
Zelda should be done, no question. Nintendo of Japan really ought to give us a chance with that.

Not to mention the acting chops....I'd say maybe Sophie D has the right measurements, but I'm not too sure she can ACT.

Even if Samus has never been the most talkative girl, other than in the Prime games she's never really been deprived of dialogue. Especially not since Brawl has her actually speaking in it and it looks like Other M will too. More importantly, though, I want Ridley to talk. He's a super-intelligent space dragon and other than in the manga he's never gotten a single line, dammit.

As for Bayonetta...I don't know. She kinda comes across to me as a cross between Gianna Michaels and Quistis Trepe. But that's just me, really.
The whole point of Metroid is it's haunting isolationism, which in turn is caused partially by its lack of real dialogue.

I know it doesn't have to be posted, but still...
It is a crime against cinema that this was called an April Fools' Day creation and not the actual trailer to an actual movie.
A CRIME AGAINST CINEMA, I SEZ!
