In my opinion, of course.
I've been watching TNA for about 5 years now. Over those 5 years there have been good times and bad times. They have done stuff that I loved, and also stuff that I found unwatchable. Right now though, I think they have finally found a near-perfect balance of all the elements. They have some backstage segments, but not too many. They have interesting characters, but nothing too far "out there". There are several storylines right now, and all of them are extremely straightforward. The announcers do a great job of calling the holds AND putting over the storylines.
TNA still isn't perfect, and there are a few areas that could still use tightening up. For example I think the Knockouts division seems to lack some direction. Case in point, there are Knockout Tag Team championships, but barely any Knockout tag teams. The Knockout singles title scene is weak as well, although that may change now that Tara has called out ODB. Additionally I think the X-Division could use a facelift as well.
And in response to the inevitable discussion of the upcoming Hulkamania, I am still not convinced that his arrival is the death knell. If TNA continues to book the way they have been over the past month -- and Hulk Hogan simply attracts more viewers to discover it -- then his presence will be a great thing. Sure if Brian Knobbs becomes the X-Division champion and Brutus Magnus is replaced with Brutus Beefcake, then yeah -- doom. But we will have to wait and see. I am optimistic right now.
Feel free to agree or disagree, but after watching Turning Point (which I found to be great), I just had to get this off my chest.

To be honest I'll probably never be a TNA fan.
Now I will say TNA has great talent and though I didn't see Turning Point, the last to matches sound GREAT! and look to be going in the right direction in thoses areas, but and here's come the TNA hate if you will, I don't trust the booking, plain and simple. I need to see good booking in my eyes for a 6/8 month run before I can buy into TNA.

I believe you can because Russo asked D'Amore to help him. Also Dixie is looking for a more serious product. I like the additions they're planning. Also if Kennedy comes in like the Pope did that will be incredible.

Yeah, I think all of the problems affecting TNA are external. They need to get their name out there so they can grow and leave the Impact Zone behind. They're putting on a really great product, but it means jack if no one knows to watch it.

That's a very good point, and I do agree that only a month of programming isn't enough time to truly determine where a wrestling company is headed. I should clarify that I have actually been a big fan of TNA's last 6 months, and in my original post I just meant that the last month has been particularly tight in my opinion.

The last two TNA pay-per-views were the first two I've bought, and really enjoyed them both. I've become a regular viewer of Impact in the last 2 months as well. TNA really is something completely different from WWE, their roster is just as good if not better and their main event isn't stale anymore since MEM disbanded. I think they should go ahead and go all out, head-to-head with Raw on Mondays. Have Hogan's first appearance be on the debut show, it'll draw some viewers then hit 'em with the X division, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, AJ, Daniels, etc. They can do it, I wonder if any networks would put them on against Raw?

My only question to the poster about good booking for a 6-8 month run is when does that ever happen? Im not bashing any certain product, TNA, ROH, WWE, or old WCW or ECW. But, every company has good booking and bad booking. Ive been watching wrestling for 20+ years, and there has never been a stint where the overall booking was good/great for 6-8 months. In any company whatsoever. You always get at least some crap booking, some times more crap than others. But always at least some.

Unless you are a severe nitpicker I cant see why you wouldn't think its been good for at least that long...and if you nitpick that badly you must hate WWE since half their booking is either crap or extremely formulaic. Edit: I also agree with the above poster, expecting every single storyline from opener to midcard to main event, every single title holder, every single guy getting a push, etc. to be perfect and completely to your liking is impossible, and will never happen. Looking at it from a realistic perspective TNAs booking has been great for the past year I would say. At the very least its been entertaining and put forth more effort than WWE.

I think it has been really good since about sept of 08. 09 was a good year creativly. JJ left just before he wore out his welcome on TV (thank Gawd). As far as a monday show, I still don't think they are there and can sustain it. Leave the Impact zone? I once felt that this was wise, but cost-wise it makes better sense to stay there but add some TV events outside there occasionally

With the exception of The British Invasion, Kip James, Dr. Stevie, Matt Morgan, Eric Young, Lashley, Daffney, and Suicide.....TNA is petty cool.

Now him and McGuinness are in TNA they should build towards them feuding (not right now - though Russo does like to rush everything). Kip James barely wrestles. Stevie Richards is a good wrestler and more of a valet than anything. Daffney rocks and Suicide is good (well, Kaz is and it was interesting for a wrestling company to actually do something different to promote their videogame).

I really like the mix of old school guys and new talent. Wish the PPV matches were a little longer
I enjoy it now more than I do WWE

I don't watch much wrestling at all anymore. Most of it's just a few glimpses at TNA or Smackdown, or a whole lot of Vintage viewing. That being said, I find TNA to be the most exciting product for me to watch right now.

I don't know if it's really good... it's certainly the best (overall) it's ever been. The main event scene is just great, right now though. There are some really strong undercard angles, and there's some serious star power (not even counting Hogan).

This week's Impact was the first off note in a while. It's a shame they haven't really been rewarded with the ratings they deserve lately.

I think it is a lot better than WWE right now wrestling and storyline wise. WWE just seems like it has been in a time loop since 2005.

The last two PPVs were quite good, and the Impact show seems to be at least as good - and IMO better - than the weeklies WWE is putting on. With some luck, sustained work and good promotion TNA can get much higher ratings.

TNA has been better than WWE, and I am seeing that WWE is stepping up their game lately, so TNA must be doing something right.
