After a quick Wikipedia check, these folks are the same people behind Velvet Assassin for the XBox 360, Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, and...aw, son of a bitch, HAIL TO THE f***ING CHIMP for the PlayStation 3.

I've never heard of any of these. THIS GAME IS GOING TO SUCK WORSE THEN THE THE FIRST ONE!Seriously the first one was by midway. Midway sucks hard but atleast they made mortal kombat these people have done anything!

It's not really a "squared" circle, is it? Shouldn't it be "hexagonal circle action?"

I'm hoping they make a beefed up version of the Mobile Phone game with more match types and Knockouts. Would rule. Especially on the DS.

Perhaps, but when the company in question has failed to make anything worthwhile before, what exactly makes you think that this time around will be any different? Do you really think that TNA IMPACT will be the one game that launches this company into the stratosphere of popularity? It's not to say that it's impossible per say, but based on their previous track record, it's hard for one to have high hopes.

This time around is quite different as this is the first time the company has bought a brand name and will be hiring a developer to work on it. Generally they'd be publishing a game that a developer was already working on independently and were shopping around to publishers, and none of the bigger ones snapped up.

Trine is a good side scrolling game, beautiful to look at and fun to play.
Velvet Assassian is a decent, albeit generic third person game. Although the story is decent.
Section 8 is an online FPS that a lot of my friends seem to enjoy. I have not played it myself, cause Im not a fan of online games.
Monster Madness is an updated Zombies Ate My Neighbors and is fun to play, and can be difficult.
What Im getting at is just because YOU may not have heard of these games does not make them bad. There are hundreds of games each year that get made that are better than the popular ones. Its just that they are made by someone other than EA, Activision, Square Enix, Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony and dont get the spotlight like those companies do.

I don't know about you, but I can't name any successful Electronic Arts (EA) games until they started crapping out Madden games.

I don't know about you, but I can't name any successful Electronic Arts (EA) games until they started crapping out Madden games. Pinball Construction Set, Archon, Skate or Die, The Bard's Tale, and Populous, among others, were all pretty damn successful Pre-Madden games published by EA. If you were a PC/Apple gamer in the mid-late 80's, Electronic Arts was a pretty big deal.

I don't really know what this means for the license. It depends on what developers Southpeak (who just publishes stuff) hires out to.

No game has even been released and BAM!, it's already judged as crap.

Woah woah WTF to the people saying nothings been released?Yeah there has been and it was called TNA Impact and I played it on PS3 and it was one of if not the worst wrestling games I have ever played in my life. Seriously you know this exist right? Actually you're probably better off not knowing that exist that's how horrible that game is.

Considering the publisher's history, it's only natural to be less-than-enthusiastic about this announcement. I certainly am.
I'd love to be proven wrong and this turns out to be even an above-average wrestling game. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

And it wasn't horrible. More like mediocre and highly reminiscent of the WWE Attitude game for the PS1 in overall style.

Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger Good lord, this sounds like the title of a Rob Liefield comic. If this is the kind of dreck this company puts out, then I'm not excited for a TNA game. And no, that's not being negative before the fact. That's predicting the future of an organization by looking at it's past. If the company puts out X amount of crap, then I am in no way expecting them to step it up just because it's a TNA game.

I don't have much hope with them moving to a publisher that is actually WORSE then midway but whatever. Maybe it'll be good I just don't think it will be.

Simmer down guys.
I wonder if they picked up the sequel that Midway was making or just the rights.
