I don't know about you, but I can't name any successful Electronic Arts (EA) games until they started crapping out Madden games. Pinball Construction Set, Archon, Skate or Die, The Bard's Tale, and Populous, among others, were all pretty damn successful Pre-Madden games published by EA. If you were a PC/Apple gamer in the mid-late 80's, Electronic Arts was a pretty big deal. You forgot M.U.L.E., perhaps one of the one dozen most influential computer games in history. Should have been in the front of your list

Simmer down guys. I wonder if they picked up the sequel that Midway was making or just the rights. I think with them only releasing the new game on the handhelds leads me to belive their budget isnt gonna be too big for this one and i think they are gonna port the impact engine and throw in a couple of new features and punt it out as quickly as possible to make a quick buck. But alas only time will tell

Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger Good lord, this sounds like the title of a Rob Liefield comic. If this is the kind of dreck this company puts out, then I'm not excited for a TNA game. And no, that's not being negative before the fact. That's predicting the future of an organization by looking at it's past. If the company puts out X amount of crap, then I am in no way expecting them to step it up just because it's a TNA game. So basically, the game is crap because you don't like the title.

I wonder if they picked up the sequel that Midway was making or just the rights. Probably just the rights. IIRC, the studio working on Impact 2 was sold to THQ. Unless Southpeak was able/wanted to get the assets related to the game (my guess is "probably not"), Impact 2 is vaporware unless THQ wants to use the base of it for a WWE or UFC game.

No, the game is crap because, and I'm quoting here, "Raven Squad received poor reviews averaging a 32.67% on Game Rankings. 3xGamer issued a poor rating of 1.5 out of 5 stars due to frustrating gameplay."(Per wikipedia) The fact that the title blows a donkey is incidental.

I'm still hoping Capcom picks up Mortal Kombat I'm not. I don't wanna see my favorite fighting series become a way too complex Street Fighter wannabe.

Haha, well, it may be fun, but I'm talking more gameplay mechanics-wise. The reason I love Mortal Kombat is because I don't have to worry about building up three special bars and inputting a ten button combo to pull off a move that only does 15% of the damage bar.

In moments like this I wish than Syn Sophia (Aki Corporation back in the day) started to made wrestling games with US license
IMO No Mercy 64 > Any SvR game Anyway, they made the kinnikuman games that are very good, but now, only made fashion's game it seem, but also, they made ready to rumble revolution

Southpeak made Monster Madness, a fun Zombie Ate My Neighbors type game. I wish I bought the PS3 version since that addressed my issues with the original.

I'm going to be the plucky optimist and say that I'm glad TNA's getting another chance at a game. If's it good, I'll buy it. If not, all I wasted was a gamefly selection.

After a quick Wikipedia check, these folks are the same people behind Velvet Assassin for the XBox 360, Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, and...aw, son of a bitch, HAIL TO THE f***ING CHIMP for the PlayStation 3. For all the crap THQ, Activision, and Electronic Arts get, they usually put out a couple decent games a year. Southpeak Interactive has simply been useless.

Going the hand held route may turn out good for the second TNA game. I am very interested in what the PSP version will look like. Nintendo DS version will be shit. Nintendo DS is a useless system. It sells very very well, but its a useless system.

Not useless, it just has some of the best games out there right now. If you're hypnotized by super fancy 3-D graphics sure.

I say PSP not only has superior graphics, and a better line of games. And you would most likely disagree and give the outdated system an edge over the PSP. Its all cool.
