Yeah I'm glad he's having a laugh with all that, as he should. Plus it gives a terrific movie (as thwak says) more widespread coverage.
Also the only time I'll agree with Mr. Hitler.

Bruno Ganz was AMAZING as Hitler in that film. One of the best pictures ever made about that subject.

I tried to make one about Jeff Hardy's drug bust, but due to my poor computer skills, I don't even know if I had the right program.

Has anyone made one in relation to Sam Raimi getting the arse from Spider-Man 4 yet?

This is an astonishing film, and I recommend it to anyone. Not exactly a barrel of laughs, mind.

Yeah, this film is absolutely fantastic, albeit (for obvious reasons) rather distressing to watch at some points.
With that said, it's pretty cool that the director likes the parody clips. My personal favorite is the one where the Endless Eight story arc of Haruhi Suzumiya "finally gets to Hitler."

Any reason to let me post this ... Language warning, as usual. ;D That's AWESOME. It reminds me of my friend's old copy of The Sims. He got a ton of heads and bodies of different celebrities with plans to make wacky families, but got sidetracked after making The Marvels. So I started moving some families in, one that included Hulk Hitler (Hogan's body with Hitler's head) and Nazi Hogan. Oddly enough, Hulk Hitler ended up a complete wuss and would cry when Nazi Hogan picked on him. Then again, everybody hated Nazi Hogan... except one of our friend's moms we put in, who hit it off with him. I mean, Nazi Hogan walked up to Magneto when they first met and straight up poked him.

Funny thing is, that scene is about how the generals are lying to him, telling Hitler that the army that was supposed to relieve the Berlin defenders didn't attack, causing Hitler to go off.
Thing is, that army didn't exist. The generals knew this, but Hitler was so delusional by that point and they knew it was over so they placated him until the end.
It's a great movie though. The gritty reality of what's going down actually makes you feel sorry for certain people like the secretary and of course, the six children which was a very hard scene to watch.
And I might as well shill my video

Bruno Ganz was AMAZING as Hitler in that film. One of the best pictures ever made about that subject. It's actually unfortunate for Mr Ganz that he had to give one of the best performances of the decade in playing Hitler, as he was obviously given little consideration for acting awards. There's still a huge debate on the idea of giving such a "humanizing" portrayal of Hitler; it's an interesting debate, but I'd recommend reading about it on Wikipedia's "Downfall" page rather than bringing it to these forums. But Bruno Ganz was unbelievably incredible in his performance.

I think it's great that the director loves the parodies. It shows an actual sense of humor.

Glad he's not uptight about it like a lot of directors would be.

One of my favorites, if just for being an effective meta parody of the downfall meme period.
Warning: Some NSFW language.

I've been meaning to watch this film for some time now. A friend of mine rented it and said that the performances are great.

Not to pile on, but Downfall is a great movie. Bruno Ganz preformance is the stuff legends are made of.

My favorite is still the Conan/Leno one, just because it's the first time I feel Hitler's outrage is justified.

Even they don't, its some random weird unexplainable randomness like that utterly annoying Roberto Begilliniwhatever dude. I mean did the great Toshiro Mifune ever get a nod? No.
