Specifically for 2009...
They made me interested in the product again. Have been avoiding it for several years.
I've enjoyed the last few months of it more than I have WWE.

The first few months of the Dr. Stevie character was better than Steven Richard's WWE stint from 2004 until his release.

It allows former WWE wrestlers a chance to make some money. That's good.

It offered me a chance to give Billy Gunn the finger.
That felt good.

They actively tried to hire the best people they can for the roster, hot indie talent or big names, not just underwear models with tribal tats.

Brand new stars are given an opportunity to break out (Desmond Wolfe, British Invasion) and misused guys from WWE are given a chance to show their talents (Dr. Stevie, D'Angelo Dinero).

Pope. And he's Pimpin'.
Also, TNA gives it their all. It may or may not be garbage, but dammit, they try! New, unique ideas & match concepts, new talent, and great matches all reflect well on TNA.
Also, they've given people a reason to go to Universal Studios.

It makes me as a wrestling fan of 22 years actually enjoy wrestling on television.

By far the best thing about TNA is that whether you like it or not, they are out to market an alternative to WWE programming. They refuse to just go out and follow the formula that has proven success, and they seem hellbent on writing their own formula. That's damn respectable in my book.
