Mono's A LOT tougher than people think. while I don't want to be overly pessimistic, this might indeed spell the end for Lesnars career, and then add some mystery condition we're not told about, not looking too good there. best of luck to him.

Brock getting healthy is the number one priority. His MMA career should be the least of his concerns at this point.
I have to say, it's been a tough couple of months for the UFC. Your two best P4P fighters are out until at the very earliest the spring of next year. The Machida mystique has been vaporized by Shogun (and Machida is battling injuries as well...which could be part of why he struggled last month). Henderson's departure. And their inability to get a deal done with Fedor's camp (although he still would have never fought Brock because of his condition).
I guess if Dana and Co. can view this as from an optimistic perspective, it's that having your top guys out for an undisclosed amount of time could allow the younger, hungrier fighters to make their way to the main event scene (like my guy Jon Jones...don't disappoint me at the TUF finale). Looks like the Cain Velazquez era is beginning sooner than I would have imagined.

Man, I'm really concerned about Brocks health now. Me too. I hope he can pull through and get well. Damn, hope he doesn't have to lose the belt this way. That would really suck.

I really hope Brock recovers. He doesn't even have to fight, I just hope the dude comes back from this.
Also with Big nog, Carwin, and Brock out, that's the top 3 heavies in UFC.
also Shane wants to do big money with UFC...hmmm

How much is UFC worth?
Shane just cashed in 50 million stock
is that enough to buy UFC? or control?

Mono can fatigue you 3 months tops. Its not as bad as people are saying in this thread.
I still can't imagine what is career ending that is not Cancer or Aids. Hope its not something awful like ALS.

Mono can cause several other ailments that can kill people if not treated properly. It's rare that it happens but, it's still a possibility.

Read the "complications" section of that site for some examples, including the one I was wondering about, meningitis. All in all...Brock could be facing a serious uphill battle here, and that's not even mentioning him trying to keep this from spreading to his wife and child. Damn.

There's a rumor going around from someone claiming to be a UFC insider, that aside from mono; Brock has suffered cysts on his liver due to steroids damaging his Endocrine system. But honestly, I have no faith in unsubstantiated rumors like that and I hope its not true.

Don't know if I believe that or not....all I know is I wish Brock the best and a speedy recovery.

Anyone heard anything about him having an intestinal disorder? According to TMZ, they talked to Dana and Dana claimed Lesnar is going to the Mayo Clinic because of one.

Unfortunate news for Brock and UFC in general.
Hopefully the upshot will be that Shane will unveil his new career as a shootfighter. In WWE, he beat up everybody with his amazing boxing skills, so I'm confident he'll do great in MMA!

How could Mono be bad enough to ruin his entire career though?
