Never cared for his ring work or anything but he's got his thinking cap on. Though I don't understand the part about hating the sterile corporate atmosphere. Why would someone who considers themselves a successful investor bother getting into it if the atmosphere bothers them so much? I think maybe what he's referring to is the change in the business from essentially "full contact improv theater" to "sitcom". The corporate atmosphere is "this is what you say, this is how you say it, this is the company line now toe it, period". As to the business JBL broke in to, and before that, it was "there is a crowd out there, go do your thing, and see how they react, then play off of that reaction". At least, that was my take on it.

Very interesting read. He was very on point when it came to the idea of change backstage.
