For me Shawn was truly sorry.
And Bret probaly forgave Shawn for that,but probaly still dont like him,that my opnion

When they hugged, I think my heart stopped for two seconds. It was one of the most fantastic, surprising, surreal moments EVER. I never in a million bajillion fafillion years would've imagined that scenario. NEVER. It looks like Shawn is whispering something in Bret's ear, and Bret just got this look of silent rage on his face. HBK: "I said it before, and I'll say it again: Get the f*** out of my ring." I think I woke my family up, laughing so hard at this. FTW. |

I think one word sums up the hug...
HISTORY
Two guys who have been forever linked to each other because Montreal said "No, that isn't our legacy. Our legacy together was in Anaheim, Wrestlemania XII, the first WWE Ironman match. And yeah, at the 1997 Survivor Series something terrible happened, but we're over that. We've forgiven each other it's time to move on."
When it comes down to recording historic promos, this will rank up there with The Rock and Hogan in terms of importance.

If you saw it live, it's clear that Bret had no anger vibes flowing. Now, when Vince threw away his mic and forcefully raised his hands to all 4 corners of the crowd-- I definitely got some anger vibes there. I thought Bret just looked like he didn't know what to do. And when Vince raised his right arm his left arm looked like it struggled to lift a bit. I'm guessing post-effects of having had a stroke. But then he got the hand symbol off so I'm not fully sure. I still think Bret looked pissed. And it might not of been genuine. But I get a feeling it was.....Bret seems a guy who sticks to his convictions (no matter how wrong they are). |

Yeah that was pretty much my reaction, completely caught me by surprise I was expecting Shawn to SCM Bret. |

He left the locker room and bumped into a backstage crew worker. He looked at him and said... "I get older, they stay the same age." |
