Why no Kaval? Why Darren Young and no Kaval? I DEMAND LOW KI, DAMMIT!They probably want to make him the star attraction of one of the NXT seasons and didn't want to have both him and Bryan on the same show.

Why no Kaval? Why Darren Young and no Kaval? I DEMAND LOW KI, DAMMIT!I think it's because Bryan & Kaval are to alike. They didn't need 2 uber serious guys and 2 guys that have traveled the world. Which is pretty much Kaval's gimmick in FCW, World Warrior.

I'm surprised more people aren't saying that Jericho did that intentionally to try to injure Bryan and "test his metal" and all this. Not that I beleive as much but still expected a bunch of people to say so. Surprised as well, I expected Jericho to be treated like an anti-triple H when I hopped on the boards tonight.

I am henceforth referring to Wade Barrett as Ace Rimmer. "What a guy!" ::: highfive! ::: I was seriously expecting him to say "Stoke me a Kipper, I'll be back in time for breakfast!"

I wouldn't have minded Cole's rant as much if he hadn't decided he no longer had an indoor voice. His loud screaming quickly got annoying and really took away from the main event. IMO, either have him work on the anti-IWC heel act or ship him back to Raw and let Matt Striker do it.
I love that Bryan seems to be the one getting the major push, plus seeing his tiny self in the middle of all the other rookies was hilarious. (Please don't put him with Hornswoggle, Vince!)
I don't see much upside in either Tarver or Otunga right now, Slater seems to be a poor man's John Morrison, Young is probably a waste of time, and I could listen to Barrett talk all day. That accent...hot damn.

RE: Lo Ki, he did also just return from an injury that sidelined him for 9 months. He'll work out any ring rust (not that there seemed to be any against Danielson) but he can take it easy in the meantime.

I just wonder where Bongo, Millie and Spanners are. I approve of renaming Wade, Ace Rimmer, but only if they use this as his entrance theme.

I don't see much upside in either Tarver or Otunga right now, Slater seems to be a poor man's John Morrison, Young is probably a waste of time, and I could listen to Barrett talk all day. That accent...hot damn. Just looking at Tarver and Otunga, I wouldn't have seen an upside either as they just looked like hosses to me. But those pre-match interviews did A LOT for them. If the WWE decides ever to "stick it" to the UFC, then Tarver would do well with an MMA gimmick. And even though the match wasn't much to write home about, Otunga got over with me as a Hollywood douchebag. With his reality show and paparazzi connections, I wouldn't be surprised if he and The Miz cross paths, maybe as Miz tries to get in Otunga's ear and use him to teach Daniel Bryan a lesson or something. So far, I think Slater is the rookie with the least upside right now. At least Darren Young has potential as a comedy character but I don't see much in Slater. His mannerisms are annoying and his schtick got old in 30 seconds. Seriously, he looks like he's trying to eat his hair and he seems like the kind of guy that only 15 year old girls with 2 kids would find attractive. But we still have Not Adam Lambert (aka Justin Gabriel, who I've heard is good) and Gorilla In A Cowboy Hat (aka Skip Sheffield, who I know nothing about) but things aren't looking good for Slater, at least not to me.

I'm not going to write anyone off just yet, but if I had to, I have to say I didn't see much in Otanga, he just seemed to be playing typical arrogant heel and then frankly, was piss poor in his squash match. We shall see where that goes.
Punk being bored and confused amused me. I can only assume his guy will eventually want to end up joing the SES.
Wade Barrett's accent is nothing special to me, being that I'm English, but I'm suprised he isn't just paired with Regal, but then I'm guessing the big dude in the cowboy hat is going to be comedy common foil to the classy Regal character, which will perhaps be more interesting to see.
Loved the interaction between Bryan and Miz, that will be the story of this show for however long it goes. However, I do not want to see him hotshotted in to the US title. Yeah, ok, he is famous world over and blatently a good wrestler, but hot shotting titles on to new guys generally gets slammed around these parts, and exceptions shouldn't be made just cos he happens to be an internat favourite. IMO anyway.
Cole as the internet hating heel commentator is gold. True gold. That NEEDS to coninute.

I even liked how Bryan seemed to take a shot at the IWC, saying he knew everyone wanted him and Regal, but you get what you get.
And he did well against Jericho (despite the part where Jericho kicked him in the back of the head and Bryan fell backwards). I'm convinced the slam in the table was supposed to happen, but that chunk out of the back it took...I dunno, maybe it just didn't work quite right. I did notice on the replays you can see the commentators scoot like he was supposed to go over and then they scoot back when they realize he didn't. But i'm nitpicking, I wouldn't usually look a match over with this fine a fine toothed comb. I had never seen Daniel Bryan/ Danielson before (once he was signed I decided to dodge the youtube footage in case he didn't fly) and I was impressed.
And to those that say he does well on the mic, he did okay but can use some work. He isn't the Miz or Jericho on the mic, not even close.
I could also see Tarver going over well...but is he gonna bail for MMA too? If they do decide to sign him and see that potential in him, they need to LOCK...HIM...DOWN.
Heath Slater seems too much like a mix between Morrison and The Brian Kendrick. I DO like the gimmick, but it's just too similar. He needs to mix it up a bit more, because he doesn't seem very unique to me.
I still dunno about Young. I want to see what he does with Punk. All we know is Punk's thoughts on it, other than what the commentators said about Young we know NOTHING, and his in-ring stuff was nothing spectacular. Tonight, in both respects, we didn't get to see alot.
Otunga reminds me of early MVP, while not being a carbon copy at the same time. With the Hollywood connections, and the fact he really isn't that bad, I can see him being the #2 guy here if the WWE wants to play it safe and keep the jury out on Tarver.
And Wade cut a promo then stood around. Can't judge him quite yet.
