From Raw in 1996
I'm amazed they actually referenced Kevin Nash and Scott Hall by name here considering that Nitro was most likely on at the same time.

Feels so odd to hear Monsoon on commentary this late.

Funny that Scott Hall looks like Fake Razor now.

Funny that Scott Hall looks like Fake Razor now. And Nash looks like he's reverting to Oz.

If I recall correctly, Nitro started an hour earlier when Bogner and Jacobs debuted on RAW, so Hall and Nash had been seen numerous times prior to them coming out. Ross had been making references to them pretty openly leading up to the debute. I never really understood the motivation to stick Fake Razor and Savio in a feud, and thankfully, they pulled the plug on the whole experiment pretty quickly.

WWE back then were distressed, the company was bleeding money out the ass.
That's why they were acknowledging the competition. TNA does it now.
EDIT: At the same time, I have no idea what they were trying to prove here.

I don't think people understood the Diesel/Razor angle. It was a little too different for 1996. It was all part of the Jim Ross heel turn, which was also a little weird for 1996 Here's the fake razor debut. This was years before these "worked shoot" kind of angles were done to death, so I don't think the fans quite knew how to react to this one: www.dailymotion.com/video/x6uiy1_jim-ross-introduces-the-return-of-r_sport

I remember at the December '96 IYH PPV Jacobs and Bogner challenged Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith for the WWF World Tag Team Titles I was hoping they'd win the belts to add a little symmetry to The Outsiders being WCW World Tag Team Champions.

Well, kayfabe, Savio was Razor's best friend , so I'm guessing the storyline would be that he was pissed some guy was impersonating him.

imagine it would have worked and the Razor and Diesel turned into legacy gimmicks, I wonder who would be fake Razor and Diesel nowadays (assuming Jacobs still became Kane)
