I'm never home in time for the original airing, so I always watch the 11 PM CT replay. Yet tonight I get Scortie Mcboogerballs. WTF? Yep, they pulled the repeat after a heavily censored original airing. While one could say that Matt and Trey censored the epp themselves, the pulling of the ruruns was done by CC.

Can anyone tell me what the big deal with Muhammad is? I thought it was just part of the Cartoon Wars storyline??

So I just finished watching this episode and I have to say, the Cartman father reveal was both creepy and awesome in oh so many ways.

Can anyone tell me what the big deal with Muhammad is? I thought it was just part of the Cartoon Wars storyline?? See I did at first too, but the bleeping at the end was so loud and annoying I didn't think it was team South Park. I mean to say "Muhammad" on the first part of the episode and not next week's episode... just came off as strange. As for Muhammad, basically in the muslim faith it's considered blastemphous to show pictures or depict Muhammad in any sort of fashion. A Danish newspaper showed several cartoons of the prophet in a less then flattering light and protests erupted all over the muslim world. Since then it's been sort of a cultural taboo to touch the issue, even here in the states. Now Matt and Trey are all about lamblasting sacred cows, so they obiviously tried to parody the issue in cartoon wars and the last two episodes. Only this time Comedy Central went further with their censorship in tonight's episode by bleeping the name Muhammad. Which, IMO, is friggin' dumb. You better believe I wrote an angry e-mail to comedy central. I know it won't do squat, but I had to let them know how I felt.

I don't know anything about Muhammad and don't understand why it's censored. I mean hell if you can make fun of the pope, jesus, buddah, etc all in good fun what the hell's the big deal about that guy? I really hope a version becomes available online where we can hear what they all said at the end.

"Yeah, but you're half Denver Bronco.........and that's pretty cooo."
One of the best episodes ever. I live in CO, and there are tons of "inside" jokes in many episodes that you would only get if you lived here.
Also being from CO, I love the Broncos. Favorite team in any sport. So its nice that they get some love from Trey and Matt who live/d here and are fans as well.

An interesting thought:
I have a feeling that this episode signaled the end of South Park. Last week there was a line something to the effect of "give us Muhammad or it's the end of South Park." This line struck me as a challenge to Comedy Central as much as it was a way to move the plot forward in the episode. By their refusal to allow Muhammad to be shown, CC may have pushed Matt and Trey to decline any future contract extension. Enjoy the final season and a half, because I don't think there is any chance of the show going past that now.

If it means they can move to HBO or something and let loose then that's cool I'd by a subscription to watch it.

The speeches at the end being entirely bleeped/censored was part of the joke.
On the small chance it wasn't, it was probably funnier that way.

Honestly, I'd kind of like to see Matt and Trey pull the plug if only to spite Comedy Central. Let them lose one of their only cash cows and see how far they fall.

The whole situation is BS, and we need to end it now. Until further notice every TV show in in the US should add Muhammad as a regular character. Not to spite a certain religious group, but to send a loud clear message that in the USA the freedom of speech extends to everyone, and everything, and we won't be bullied into making exceptions for your sacred cow just because you threaten violence.

On the one hand, wow, what an episode.
On the other hands...........pretty crappy dad reveal. It retcons away Cartman's only real big victory ever and means I can't enjoy my favourite episode for that anymore, as I shall always be thinking about this episode now.
Having Scott as a Joker like character though, that was awesome. When he first started speaking, I was loving it.
RIP PIP - if he stays dead of course.

Agreed. Comedy Central is run by wussies and hypocrites.

Comedy Central didn't even aired a encore of the episode last night. It sad that they failed against the terrorist. I guranteed that Matt and Trey are probably pissed right now. South Park Studios have this up on their site. ![](http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5332/201e.png)

And this is why I'm glad Comedy Network in Canada isn't run by pussies. It should be interesting if we get the episode uncensored this Sunday.
