I'm watching both, but unless the planets align in some strange way there is no chance in hell of Impact beating Raw head-to-head, much less against one hosted by Bret Hart. They can't even break 1.3 by themselves. TNA probably shouldn't have said the 1/4 Impact will air again on 1/7. Wait, seriously? Then I'll just watch Raw on Monday and Impact on Thursday. I don't really care to "send a message" over being able to watch both in their entirety.

Crap TNA, I was SO going to watch Impact on Monday out of loyalty, but now that I know you are doing the rerun on Thursday, there's no point. Sorry

Any of the current 9 brave souls want to put forward their thinking on this? What they feel will make the tipping point difference to give Impact more viewers than Raw come Monday?

I will be watching Impact but there's no way even with Hogan on the show there's no way it will get higher then Raw. Here's my predictions for ratings.
Raw 3.1 Impact 1.6

Surprised they didn't have all this on Jan 11th, or the 18th or something. UFC Fight Night is live on Spike on the 11th. I am quite sure that UFC will beat Raw. I'm about 85% sure. UFC Fight Night will get my tv rating just like Impact will on 1/4

Yeah, umm TNA mark or not I don't think it's even close. Raw will kill them by two and a half points. But I predict that no less than 5 million people will watch wrestling on monday for the first time in years (between both shows that is)

Monday...
Bret returns to WWE. Hogan returns to nationally televised wrestling, and Boise State returns to the Fiesta Bowl. ;D
If I didn't have to work, I'd swap between the three.

I don't think there's any question Raw will get the higher rating by a significant margin; even if TNA does bangup numbers for themselves. And there's really no shame in that at this point.

By higher rating, are we talking about the overall average ratings or just head to head? I believe TNA will have a huge first hour rating (8pm to 9pm), then it may fall off a little when they go head to head with Raw (9pm to 11pm). So I give TNA the advantage in the overall average rating, but Raw will probably do better in the head to head. If TNA is smart, they should build up the Hogan debut for the first 50 or so minutes (teasers or vignettes as bumpers), and then bring Hogan out around 8:55pm.

I think most people are saying Impact will be the better show just for the sheer amount of unpredictability of people and events that could happen. TNA has done a good job of playing the rumor mill of who might show up and what they might do when they get there and that has us all excited. I am gonna go against better judgement and say Raw will actually have the better show. I think Vince will be hard pressed to put on a great product Monday night that will be a balance of good in ring action (they have already announced the world tag team title match and Orton vs Kofi) and drama (Bret Hart hosting, his interactions with McMahons and Shawn Micheals.)
I think short of TNA reinventing the wheel most people will be disappointed with the show. Lets face it the people writing Impact have not showed the ability to change their writing style for 3 months the old guys are the focus, then everyone gets pissed and the young guys are the focus for 3 months, they have never been able to balance and utilize the veterans and young guys to help each other equally and us expecting them to suddenly get it for monday without a change in creative is unfair. Some people have built this episode of Impact up to be so great that it cant possibly live up to the expectations. But i do believe there is a good possibility that we all have a blast watching wrestling monday night, so the wrestling fan will be the actual winner.
As far as ratings go Raw will win easily. But I think it might be possible that during the first hour of TNA they could get a 1.5, i think that would be a huge accomplishment for them and if they can go higher during that first hour then it would be amazing.
Raw will do it normal of 3.2-4.0 somewhere around that area.
When they go head to head for the 2 hours I think TNA will get around a .9 but I am probably wrong.

WWE will win the ratings, and it means absolutely nothing because they arent really in a head to head competition.

WWE could put a diva search competition for 2 hours and it would beat tna....
